Vehicle Detail
This vehicle was formerly owned by the state of IL. I purchased multiple vehicles at a state auction with the intent on giving one to my daughter and selling those that she did not want to keep for her vehicle. I have installed new front brake pads, a new muffler, and a new drive belt. Everything else on the vehicle is in working order, with the exception of the cassette player and I recommend changing the rear brake pads. The vehicle does have evidence of its age, with some pealing paint on the rear door (photo attached). There are also scratches on the bumpers (can be seen in the photos as well) and some rust on the inside of the passenger side doors (also visible in attached photos). When I purchased the vehicle, the vehicle did only come with one key and one keyless remote. I did shampoo the entire interior (all carpeting and seats). There were some stains in the carpet that I could not get out (photo attached), as well as a considerable worn out spot in the rear passenger side area (also a photo attached). Book value for this vehicle in fair condition is over $2,000, however I have set the reserve price considerably lower than book value. I have driven the vehicle approximately 50 miles to test everything and from what I can tell, mechanically everything appears to be in working order since making the repairs. Again, the only other thing I would fix if keeping the car would be to also replace the rear brake pads (the rims are quite rusty from the vehicle sitting in a field for a period of time prior to the state selling the vehicle at auction). This is nothing that cannot be sanded and painted, however I do believe changing the rear brake pads would be in one's best interest. This vehicle is for local pickup only (Chicago suburbs) and delivery is not available. Winning bidder is to complete sale within 72 hours of auction end (cash or cashier's check at time of pickup only). Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Good luck and happy bidding.
