Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 69 XR7 Cougar. I do not have time to get it back in the shape that it deserves. The car has clean body lines and straight frame and panels. it has been repainted many years ago by the previous owner from avocado green to this turquoise color. The paint has some chips and scratches for its age. It has very minimal rust areas, golf ball size area on each door on the bottom front corners where they meet the front fenders, around both of the door roof edges under the vinyl and around the bottom edge of the rear window and a small area on the top of the front windshield on the drivers side, all typical for these 42 yo cars with vinyl roofs. I had the brakes done last year and and work great front disk and rear drums. I believe it has 3.73 gears in the rear and a 9", this is an automatic 3 speed FXM trans car with a shifter on floor. The engine is a 351W with a 600 Holley vac secondaries (proper year motor but not original engine). The engine ran strong for years and just recently started missing about 2 months ago. I parked it and its been sitting since. I filed a non-op about two weeks ago. It has custom plates and including these, the registration is only $119 bucks and needs no smog. All lights work, including the front hidden covers and rear sequentials. The grill its straight and not cracked or broken. The front suspension will need to be re-bushed. Power steering works, but should probably be redone when the front end is. Dash is clean and pretty straight, not cracked or broken, clock and all gauges work. Had an aftermarket stereo and amp that I disconnected and removed, so there is currently none in the car. Interior is original and in OK condition. The headliner will need to be redone at some point and the steering wheel also needs help. A solid, Cali car that drives straight with no undercarriage rust or problems and all panels are rust and bondo free. Tires need replacing as they are weathered. Magnum 500 rims will need re-chrome or replaced. This is not a show car, but its a good and SOLID foundation for one and when cleaned up and driven around, it turns heads and gets thumbs up every time it goes out. If you have any other questions, call or email and I will try to answer them as promptly as possible. I will help with shipping with a car carrier, provided buyer pays all costs. There is no warranty on this vehicle, it's sold as is. Thanks everyone....
