Vehicle Detail
Ive debated this back and forth and have decided to sell my Wagonner cummins conversion. Here are the details. I started the swap in Dec of 2008 and finished in Apr of 2010. Driving Experience: Sounds great from startup to shutdown. You can here the turbo spool up and whistle. Plenty of power for cruising around town and climbing through the trails. It can cruise on the Highway but you wont be breaking any records. The engine isnt terribly loud but the tires do howl on the highway, and you can feel the aggressive tread thumping along at city speeds. It is very agile with the famous GM power steering of the 80's and the jeep tight turning radius. Rear seat removes quickly if you need the extra space and there are seatbelts for 6 people if you need the seating. Everything Works except the power mirrors and the cruise control (Cruise control is all there, i just never built a throttle bracket for it) This was my daily Driver for many years before the conversion and since until two months ago when I moved. And when we moved i didnt hesitate to load it up and drive it 1100mi, nor would i hesitate to do it again. This is a great rig and i have all the faith in the world in it, but that being said this truck is 25 years old and has no warrantee. It will always require maintenance and care, it is not a toyota. Drivetrain: 1998 Recon Cummins 4bta 120hp 3.9Liter turbo diesel, Bosch Ve Pump with approxamately 95,000mi CPL 859 Custom motor mounts and various engine brackets. 47Rh Automatic transmisson from a 1995 Dodge ram 2500 Rebuilt 35,000mi ago with factory Wagoneer tranny Cooler. OD and lock up controlled through pressure switches that are accessable through engine compartment, no getting dirty on the ground. Both OD and Lock can be disabled through switches in the cab. Np241DlD transfercase from a 1995 Dodge ram milage unknown. Slip Yoke eliminator on rear yoke. ARB 4wd linkage modified to use the factory wagoneer Hi-Lo Flag shifter for 4wd shifting. Very factory look and low profile. Custom front and rear driveshafts Block heater and Battery maintainer connect simultanously through external cord. Interior Original seats and carpet I would judge it 6 out of 10 New AC compressor, evaporator, drier, and expansion valve (installed two days ago) Blows 55 degrees Floor covered with two layers of Buytel (like dynamat) underneath carpet and doors covered underneath door panels. All new window flex racks. And window wipes, All windows work even the rear glass! I also have new window channel felts that i havent installed Pyro, boost guages and Tach. New radio that has AUX input for Ipod. Custom Beadboard headliner with an insulated radiant barrier. New well nuts on roof rack, no leaky roof! Exterior Not sure if the paint is original or not but its in Decent shape save for the chips from use and the rear quarter panel I banged up. The "Wood" has seen better days. Its lost its grain on all but two panels, but it is still adhereing to the body. Kumho Radial All terrain tires less than 10K miles on them. Mostly rust free, the only rust is on passenger side rear quarter panel. Its also the side that got banged up in an exchange with my garage during the last ice storm. Other than that Quarter panel the truck is very rust free and straight. Custom Winch bumper with Warn 10000lb winch 2" body Lift (a must to clear the water jacketed intercooler) rear mounted 29 Gal Fuel tank by aerotank interprises. MIGHT CONSIDER TRADES for some thing exotic or towards an airplane.
