This is my 1970 jeep cj5. it runs great and is fast. Very powerful with the buick v6! Please look at pics carefully and if you have any questions please feel free to ask or come look at it. Aluminum rims and 33 inch tires have been sold already! Jeep comes with white steel wheels and 31 inch tires! It has: A full fabric top and doors and also has a new bikini top (that i just put on and is on the jeep now) buick v6 that i am told is even fire out of a 1979 buick. edelbrock carb and intake with a k&n filter on top. it does not use an hei now but i have one for it. also i have the stock intake manifold. 3 speed trans, not sure which one, and what i believe is a dana 20 transfer case. it has a centered rear output shaft. Axles are out of a 1980 cj5 im told. the front axle has disc brakes. the rear axle is an amc 20 i believe because of its round rear cover. i have no idea on the gearing but with 33s i didnt like it so now it has 31s and its much better. im not positive but it looks like it may have one piece axle shafts in the rear. if you know the amc 20 you know that the one piece shafts make it a much better axle. come over and we can pull a wheel off and check if you would like. Has a split circuit brake master cylinder now. MUCH safer than the original, especially with the disc brakes in front. Has the saginaw power steering conversion, but the steering box leaks. Frame is perfect, body has rust. Comes with a spare body tub that i planned on using the floor panels out of. See pics (if i remember to put that tub up on stands and take the pic). Has a stupid dune buggy gas tank in the rear. i only commute 7 miles so i dont mind the small tank but i really wanted to put a new polyethylene tank in and never got around to it. Fuel gauge doesnt work and neither does speedo. has aftermarket oil and temp and volt gauges that work perfectly. Yes i drive it to work. On the freeway. Not everyday but most days. I think it should have new shackles. shorter ones. i just dont like the ones on it. Comes with only the steel wheels and 31 inch tires. the aluminum rims and 33s have been sold already. Why am i selling it? My wife just had a baby so im looking for something to take offroad that has a back seat and a roof, at least until the baby is a bit older... maybe a cherokee, blazer, 4runner, or something like that.
