Vehicle Detail
1955 Chevy 2 door Handyman Wagon. This is a true 2 door wagon not a converted 4 door. There were actually less 2 door wagons produced than the Nomad. This car had a frame off restoration 5 years ago and is very dependable. You can drive this car anywhere with the comforts of a late model car. 350 Chevy motor with OD gets 16 - 18 MPG. The paint job is very detailed and all House of Kolors paint. The pictures do not show all the detail that you can see in person. This paint job cost more than a lot of cars full restoration cost. The flames and striping continue into the engine bay on the inner fenders. The side striping goes in and out of the door jams and rockers. The interior is very nice with Ultra leather and a console. Digital gauges, Overdrive automatic transmission, Vintage Air conditioning, Power windows and Power locks. Some of the body mods are shaved hood bird emblem, shaved door handles, removed window wing vents, LED tail lights, Halogen headlights, tinted windows. Body is Super Super straight. There are no waves when you look down the sides or roof. Underside of body is painted Purple. I encourage a full inspection so you can see the detail and all 9 custom colors working together. The pictures do not show all the detail and how well everything blends. The flourescent yellow does not pull out in person like the pictures somewhat show and the orange above the yellow is a different color than the main body color orange. You have to see it to appreciate it. This car has won many many Best paint and Graphics and Best of show awards! The 350 motor was rebuilt at restoration and has about 6000 miles on it. This motor is basically stock and runs great. Always starts right up. Below is a list with more details. Please call with any questions and I encourage a personal inspection if possible. The pictures show a lot of the detail but it is better in person. 1955 Chevrolet 2 door Handyman Wagon overview: - 350 Chevy 4 barrel motor, Ceramic coated Headers, Chrome valve covers, Polished pulley's, AC compressor and brackets. 2 Electric fans with oversized radiator. The only time you need to use both fans is when the A/C is on. I have drove this car in several Parades with the A/C on and it never gets above 198 at idle! - 700R4 Overdrive Transmission. Has valve body kit installed that shifts into Overdrive based on pressure. Works great. - Power disk brakes in front, Rear drums - 2" Dropped front spindles. With 1" lowered front springs. Lowering blocks in Rear. Rides good and the rear wheels can be removed without any hassle. - 17" Billet Specialty wheels (1 year old) - Dakota Digital gauges - Power windows, Power locks, FOB remote clicker for unlocking doors - Vintage A/C and Heat with Defrost - AM/FM CD Radio - Custom dash inserts - Console - All new wiring and fuse panel.
