i have a big nasty 58 merc turnpike cruiser 4 door hardtop. its really cool but i dont really know if it has restoration value or maybe a parts car. it has positives and minuses. it does appear to be a stated 49,000 mile car. it has nice options though i know many did. power steering, power brakes, power windows,power seat, town and country radio with foot operation unit. also had speed monitor warning deal but possibly not complete. the motor runs well with no smoke. the push button controls and brake lock are in good working condition. it has very weak but stoppable brakes. it was last road driven in 2000. it has brand new tires from then and still appear to be good. the exhaust was also new at that time. the front power windows work as the power seat. it is not the dialamatic seat. the rear breezeway window is not working but i did not look at it. the interior is complete but needs every thing pretty much. the body in my estimation is kinda rough. the floors are very good except at the gas pedal. the frame is fine and the trunk is decent except the tire well. the quarters and wheel wells have been patched are not good inside. the doors are not real bad. rockers are decent, some mounts have rust, some dont. the deck lid has been pryed some and the latch removed the fenders have some patching but not to bad. the left one has multiple dents. the windshield is very good as the back glass. all side glass is broke. the bumpers are pretty good. the potmetal is not. most of the stainless is there plus extra not pictured. some good some not. the accessory wheel covers are really nice. i have no clue if someone would want restore this car or not. might be worth much more in parts. i let you guys tell me. i am putting a price on her with make offer. might even trade for 71 to 79 ford truck or 55-56 parts or parts cars etc. the drive train and some options have value and probaby 500 in scrap value. let me know! thanks!
