Vehicle Detail
1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Spyder 900 Turbo All original, matching numbers, black plate car in excellent condition. Purchased from grandson of original owner. Car was always garaged. The Corvair runs and drives great. The motor is the original 6 cyl.,150 h.p., Turbo with a little over 98k original miles. A new chrome Holley fuel pressure regulator has been added for better consumption. It also has the original 4 speed transmission. The drum brakes and clutch work very well. The suspension is tight and the skinny white wall tires are new. It has the original NOS spinner (knock off) hubcaps (5 with spare tire) and also comes with original caps. The body is as straight as they come. No rust anywhere. The Palomar Red (burgundy) paint is in great condition. It looks to have been painted once about 20 years ago, and it was done very well. All mouldings are straight and in great shape. Original chrome on bumpers in great shape except for a few pits, but very nice. Has a chrome gas door guard. BowTies on both chrome side mirrors. All glass in excellent condition. The trunk is in excellent condition and has original paint without any rust. The black interior is in great shape and all original except for a brand new NOS covered driver side bottom, including new foam. No dashboard cracks or headliner (white) rips. Back seat folds down. Door panels each have a small seam rip, but still quite nice. The carpet is black and in very good condition as well. The gauge panel has a bit of pitting. All windows roll down very well and all handles and locks work, too. The tachometer needs to be connected, as does the heater tube. Stereo needs speakers attached. Ashtray had an after market cruise control module installed, but has since been disconnected. Kill switch installed... and kept! This car, in this condition, is rare to come by these days. I wanted to bag it with Supremes and skinny whites, nose it, deck it, shave it, flake it, tuck & roll and show it as a custom... but this car is too nice. It's worth much more than what it's reserved at.
