Vehicle Detail
2004 Ford Expedition XLT 5.4 V8 5.4L Triton gasoline V8 Automatic transmission Electronic transfer case (2wd / AWD / 4L / 4H) Rear A/C Cruise control, power pedals, in-dash CD changer, leather interior, power drivers seat, third row seating, alloy wheels, power windows/locks/mirrors, heated mirrors, keyless entry, running boards, roof rack, 2” receiver hitch, trailer brake controller 129,885 miles Our ebay department hours are: MONDAY – FRIDAY 9am – 6pm East Coast (USA) time This Expedition presents itself VERY well. It’s clean, inside and out. It doesn’t appear to be leaking any engine oil, coolant, or transmission fluids. It starts and runs great, with good oil pressure, no smoke, no knocking, and the transmission shifts nice and smooth. It has great power. Everything in the interior appears to be working. Front and rear air blow ice-cold. I didn’t see any rust on the truck, other than a couple little spots in the roof indents (probably from rainwater sitting there). You can see them in the photos, and they’d be an easy fix with some touchup paint and a wire brush. There is also one small spot that’s bubbling, behind the license plate on the tailgate. Very minor stuff. It has some miles on it…but it runs GREAT and it’s nice and CLEAN. We did a Maryland state pre-inspection on it. It needs some items, but nothing that should keep you from considering the purchase. We’ve got a great price on it, so even with the repair cost you’ll still be getting a great deal (and a great truck!!). The items it needs are only maintenance items…it’s just unfortunate that they are all coming due at the same time. Nothing to be afraid of, we did find a few items: · It needs front wheel bearings · It needs front CV joints · It needs tires · It needs front rotors · One front brake line is rusted and should be replaced (it is NOT leaking, and the brakes DO work fine with no warning lights on) · The rear axle needs a new seal, it is dripping a little differential fluid. Like I said – none of these items are life-or-death items or indicators of abuse or a “hard life”. They’re just maintenance items, and we found them “all at once” during the pre-inspect. If you live in MD, we have to fix them and inspect it before you buy the truck, and inspection/repair fees are NOT included in our auction pricing. If you live out of state…I can issue you a temp tag, and you can get the items taken care of on your own (or, if you’re like me, just do them yourself and save a TON of labor costs). But the way Maryland sets up its dealer licenses, I cannot do that for a MD resident. I HAVE to be the one to fix and inspect it. It will absolutely be done right – we’re a full service facility – but it will involve additional costs for the buyer. That said – I have driven the truck. The ride is great. The engine has tons of power, and the transmission shifts just like it should. You can feel a little bit of “wandering” in the steering because of the front end work that needs to be done, but there are no grinding or scraping or banging noises. It feels…like it needs an alignment (which it does…but it also needs those other items first). That’s as bad as it gets. This is absolutely a running, driving automobile and if I was in the market, I wouldn’t be afraid of it at all. Somebody’s going to get a great deal here! We are listing this truck with a Buy It Now price. Please, if you are going to hit the button, make sure you have the money READY, and you are prepared to make a $500 deposit IMMEDIATELY. Also if you live in Maryland, remember there will be additional fees for inspection, repairs, tax, tag, and title work (I won’t collect taxes for out of state buyers, only $20 for a temp tag that’s good for 60 days). Thanks for looking, and good luck. This really is a NICE TRUCK!!! PLEASE – read everything I have listed below. I know…I hate fine print too. But…if I need to type it, you need to read it. PLEASE. I promise, most of your questions will be answered right here! By placing a bid, you UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Zero-Feedback-Rated bidders: If your feedback rating is ZERO, I need you to email me before you bid and explain to me that yes, you understand “how it works”. If I see a zero bidder in the bid history and I haven’t heard from them, I will cancel their bid and block them as bidders until I hear from them directly. If you’re real, and sincere…SEND ME A NOTE. It’s just that easy, thanks! Bidding: Your bid is a contract. If you bid, be prepared to win. If you have the winning bid, congratulations – you just BOUGHT IT and you are now expected to PAY FOR IT. Please – make sure you have the money BEFORE you place a bid. If you have general questions about bidding, you should read eBay’s “buying basics” page: http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/basics.html Buy-It-Now auctions: Sometimes, we put “Buy-It-Now” prices on our items. BUY-IT-NOW means PAY-IT-NOW. If you are going to hit the BUY IT NOW button, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO MAKE A $500 DEPOSIT IMMEDIATELY. If I see an item sell at night, and there is no deposit by the time I get to work in the morning, I will cancel the sale and file an unpaid item case. If you hit the button, I expect you to make the deposit before you turn off your computer. You want the item, I want the money…we both win! Reserve prices: We do not reveal our reserve prices. It’s an auction. You are free to place a bid, or email me an offer. I will present any reasonable offer to my boss. Additional fees : eBay pricing does NOT include taxes, tags, inspection, or title fees. It is the BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY to pay any taxes, tags, title or inspection fees that are required by a particular item IN ADDITION to the final/winning bid amount (unless otherwise specifically noted in the auction listing). Know your state’s rules BEFORE you bid, please. Item location: We are here: http://www.mapquest.com/#ad97388a328638db9e53c01d All our items are located at 11109 Angleberger Rd, Thurmont MD 21788. Shipping: We are a dealer, not a shipper. WE DO NOT SHIP. Since I don’t ship, I have no frame of reference for “how much will it cost to…”. Sorry. Your best bet is to go to www.uship.com to get a free shipping quote. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the winning bidder. Beckley’s RVs is not associated with any shippers whatsoever; any shipping contracts are the BUYER’S RESPONSIBILITY, and Beckley’s RVs is not to be held liable for any shipping costs, errors, or problems. Acceptable Payment Methods: Acceptable payment methods are cash, bank wire transfer, cashiers check, or money order. If you pay with cash (actual green paper money) or bank wire transfer, you can carry the title with you when you leave. Let us know when you arrive if you wish to do this; it takes some extra time to finish the paperwork while you wait. If you pay with cashiers check or money order, we will hold the title for 14 business days. THAT IS OUR POLICY. Too many people have tried to pass forged checks so we don’t risk it anymore. Financing: Our ebay units are priced and presented as CASH DEALS. If you want or need to finance, you may click below for our online credit app. PLEASE SECURE FINANCING BEFORE BIDDING!!!! https://www.interactrv.com/forms/creditappbeckleys.aspx?s=www.beckleysrvs.com Warranties: Our eBay units, unless specifically spelled out in the listing, are sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, with no warranties expressed or implied. Trade-ins: Our eBay units are priced as CASH DEALS, with no trades. If you “have” to trade something, take note – bare minimum selling prices for our ebay items mean bare minimum trade prices. Don’t expect a lot for your trade. That doesn’t mean your trade is “bad”…it only means that I don’t have a budget in place to buy items. My department is designed to sell, not buy. Fly-And-Drive: If you purchased a motorized unit, you can fly into BWI (Baltimore) airport one evening. Get a hotel room for the night, and we can have a staff member pick you up at the hotel on a weekday morning and bring you to our location free of charge. We don’t have the staff in place to dedicate someone to stand in Arrivals waiting for a plan to arrive, sorry. If you’ve ever waited for a friend or family member at the terminal…you understand. We are more than happy to pick you up at a hotel though. Item pickup scheduling: Our eBay department is NOT open on weekends. eBay items are available for pickup M-F, 9-6 Eastern Time. Our eBay department operates separately from our standard sales department. I’m only one person and I am available full days Monday through Friday. APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED. Contact information: Once again, I’m only one guy. Email is the best way to get in touch with me (“ask a question” in the Seller Info box at the top right of the auction page). If you have to contact me by phone, you can call 1-800-296-6959. Please ask for me (Joe) by name. Since I am the one who researched this unit for eBay, I will be able to answer any questions you might have about it. If I am not at my desk, LEAVE ME A DETAILED MESSAGE or send me an email. Ebay emails go to my Blackberry, and will ping me even if I’m out on the lot. I will get back to you as soon as I can. Hours of operation: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 9AM – 6PM East Coast (USA) time Thank you for reading my ad, and GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!
