Built on a 1997 Ford explorer chassis. This truck features a fuel injected 5.0 HO motor, automatic overdrive, rack and pinion power steering, 4 wheel disc power brakes and all wheel drive. Starts, runs and drives like a modern vehicle. New one piece door glass with power windows. Modern gauges, new wiring harness, most chrome and stainless is new, flip hood, 56 grill, oak bed floor, frenched headlights and antenna and numerous other upgrades. See the pictures. The truck does have a few blemishes like some minor paint chips and needs a few details finished like clean up the motor some, install visors and door pulls, another coat of finish on the bed floor little things like that. Everything about the drivetrain is solid. It is a great driver that turns heads as it is. So if thats what you are looking for, this is the truck for you. If you want a high end show truck, this is not the truck for you, but could be with a few dollars and some effort. The price is pretty low based on the bids I see for junk. The truck has full OBD2 equipment including evap. All sensors and hardware are in place. It has a check engine light and and a diagnostic connector under the dash. It has just over 700 miles since it was put together. The interior is complete with new carpet, new headliner and original style dome lamp. It has a textured abs plastic headliner that fits very nice. It is dyed to match the rest of the interior. It looks good as it is but could be removed and upholstered for a high end look. The door panels are coming unglued and need repair to look just right. The only missing interior items are sun visors and door pulls/arm rests. The dash was not cut for heat or a/c install. The lines pass through where the original blower motor was and the vents are under the dash. There is a glove box door but when you open it, there is no storage. The a/c evaporator case takes up that space. The firewall was cut for the PCM install. It passes through the firewall and is sealed with a rubber plate and the connector just like Ford installed it in the Explorer and most cars. The transmission hump was modified because the late model automatic is much larger than the old manual. The tail lights are stainless. The running boards are fiberglass reproductions with very nice reproduction step plates. Radio is am/fm/cd player. There are 4 speakers. I have taken more pics and can email them if you are serious. The truck has two core supports. The original Explorer core support is still bolted to the frame in its original location but was trimmed back. It is there for mounting the radiator and condensor. The original support to this truck is also installed just ahead of the Explorer one to mount the hood and fenders.
