Here we have a wonderful 1953 Pontiac Chieftan convertible. This is what you would call a true barn find. The car is equipped with Pontiacs legendary 226/122 hp straight-8 and automatic transmission. This car is also equipped with great features such as power steering and a power top. This is a great candidate for restoration due to it being very original and complete. It has the beautiful combination of white ivory with a white top and red leather interior. Yes the seats are still the original red leather seats. Everything is operational on this car. Even the radio lights up and hums. It is a running, driving car. Carburator was rebuilt. Power steering is butter soft, brakes stop good. I have driven it to local shows and it is a true show stoper . It currently has a temp gas tank and an electronic fuel pump. The original tank is off and needs to be cleaned. The top is also disconnected to not ruin the 6-v system, it can be raised and lowered manually. I see some signs of previous metal work also patch panels on floor. The lines on the body are great and the doors click shut. All the glass is good on the car. Top is in good shape This car can be driven and shown as is with the amazing patina. Car is complete including fender skirts, also have original booklet for convertible top. This is a car you dont see every day and i never thought i would never have to sell unfortunately i have to get rid of some stuff. It would be an amazing addition to someones collection.
