Up for bids is a 1961 FORD UNIBODY pickup with short wide bed. Milage shown on odometer is 111,000 + but this truck is 50 years old so I have no way of verifying if this is the correct milage... or even the original speedometer. I took this as partial payment on another pickup I recently sold and I am selling to recoup the difference. The truck is painted "Hotrod black" with a semi-gloss clear coat. It was originally blue and white. No rust out on body or frame. (I've noticed a couple of bubbles in the paint and will try to show them in pictures) Tailgate looks to have had some body work done to it but I will include a straight tailgate that only needs some minor repair in the hinge area on the lower right side. The interior is blue and white and in excellent condition as the pictures show. Engine is a 6 cylinder (223 ci, I think) and runs strong. Engine does use oil but I haven't driven it enough to determine how much. (it was down a quart when I got it. Don't know how much is from leaks and how much is burned but I have noticed small spots in the driveway when it sets for a while) Transmission is a 3 speed on the column. Transmission shifts good and clutch is good . Brakes work very good and have no leaks, however I am including two new rear wheel cylinders that came with the truck when I got it. Windshield has a small crack (about 2-3 inches long) that is not in the drivers line of vision. I checked with a local auto glass company and they quoted me $250 for the windshield installed. The rest of the glass is all good. All lights work. The drivers side door has had new window channel (fuzzies) and wing glass weather seal installed and new ones for the passenger side are included with this sale. Truck has 4 AMERICAN RACING wheels and PERFORMANCE GT RADIAL P235/70/R15 tires with about 75% tread. (don't have a spare or jack) I have driven this to work and back (about 25 miles) several times and it runs and drives good with only a very slight play in the steering. I wouldn't have any problems with driving it anywhere. The 1961 was the first year for the UNIBODY, which FORD only offered for three years ('61-'62-'63). My reserve price is set WAY BELOW NADA Classic car value for this truck. I've tried to describe and show in pictures everything I know about this vehicle. so look at the pictures, read the description and bid accordingly.
