Vehicle Detail

You are viewing a used 2000 Ford 3/4 ton pickup I have for sale. I bought this from a large paving company that used it as a service truck. It had a service type bed installed on it and they kept it when they sold the truck. This truck does not have a bed. The tag on the door reads that this has a GVWR of 8800 poundswith a 3650 front axle and a 6048 rear axle. This is a very plain and simple truck inside the cab. It has crank up windows, no power locks, and no CD player. It does have air conditioning and a radio. Everything in the cab works. The gauges all work and stay where they should when it is running. The seat is a plain bench with vinyl and the floor does not have carpet. It has a hole in the drivers seat that is large enough to lose a small child in. You can still sit in it and drive it fine, but it needs to have the seat recovered and repaired. There are some tar stains in the cab as you can expect from a paving truck and there are some small screw holes in the dash from where they had mounted a radio. All the glass is good in the truck. The bed they removed had the tailights installed in it so there are now no rear lights or turn signals. The front lights all work fine, and it appears to me that the rear lights were unplugged when they removed the bed. It is not some nasty rats nest of wires back there, it looks like if you had the right stuff, you could just plug it in to the wires. I have a local garage that I use and they in the past have installed lights and mud flaps so you can drive a truck like this home. The last time they did that, it cost $110.00 in labor plus whatever parts are needed. It may cost more or it may cost less to have that done with this truck, but that is a close guess if you want me to have that done before you pick up the truck so you can drive it home legally in the dark. I also have seen folks buy a set of magnetic tail lights like you can get at the auto parts store and hook them up so you can get home. I will help out however I can. The truck has four Firestone LT265/75R16 tires. They are all in good condition and hold air fine. The tread is not new, but they are good solid tires that will last a long time. I would guesstimate the tread left at 35%. I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere on them. The truck does not have a spare tire. The engine is a 5.4 Triton V8 gasoline engine. It starts and runs great. I just drove this truck on a 120 mile trip and it really drives nice - no pulling to either side or anything weird. The engine does not smoke and I have not had to add any oil either. The transmission is an automatic and it shifts and pulls like it should. The air conditioning is cold and works like it should. There is a radio and a cassette player. The radio works fine, I have not tried the cassette. I would not hesitate to drive it clear across the country. The outside of this truck is nice for its age and miles. It has a few small dings and scratches on the body from having to work for a living, but nothing major. The front bumper is faded and the wheels have tar spots and missing paint as you can see in the photos. If you would install a bed, paint the bumper and wheels, it would show rather nicely. The truck has a factory receiver hitch on the back and a rotating beacon on the roof that you turn on and off with a switch in the dash. This is a good work truck. We have nicknamed it "JANE" as in plain Jane! It was not a fancy truck when it was new and it is less fancy now! It has a lot of miles, but it really runs and drives great. You are welcome to come look at it before the auction ends. Check out my other auctions for another truck I bought from the same company. They maintained their vehicles well. NO RESERVE! I am selling this truck with no hidden reserve. My opening bid of $2500.00 is the least I will take for it. I am going to mount a flatbed on it to haul cattle feed if it does not sell. If anyone places a bid, it will sell to the highest bidder here on ebay. LOCAL PICK UP I am a cattle farmer here in Mid-Missouri, so I am flexible about when you want to come and get items you have purchased from me, but I try and keep a schedule for my families benefit. I ask that you come between 9:00 in the morning and 4:00 at night. I am not available on Sundays whatsoever - that is God and family day, so don't ask! Just because I am a farmer does not mean that I am here everyday, I travel around to auctions and surplus sales and am gone several times a week. So don't do like some folks have in the past and drive 800 miles to get here and find out I am gone. You must contact me before you just show up! My granny always said that showing up unannounced was rude - you have to give people notice so they can get presentable. Trucking/airport pickup I have a local trucking company that I highly recommend that you call if you need a quote on having larger items like machinery and large trucks hauled to you. They are DAB Transport and their phone number is: (816)230-4135. They are located in Odessa, Missouri, and are just all around good folks to deal with. They are equipped to deal with about anything you need hauled, including tall bucket trucks and heavy machinery. I am located 100 miles West of the St. Louis airport, 10 miles off Interstate 70 at the Kingdom City exit #148 in Fulton, Mo, 65251. If you buy a vehicle from me and want to drive it home, there is a nice shuttle service that runs between the Kansas City (KCI) airport and the St. Louis (STL) airport. It is called: MO-X. They make a stop at my exit on I-70 at a McDonalds restaurant to pick up and drop off passengers. I can meet you in Kingdom City with your vehicle purchase so you can drive it home. There is also a local license bureau where you can buy a one way trip permit temporary tag if you want one. I require payment in full within one week of auctions end. Once it is paid for, there is no hurry for you to pick it up - take six months if need be! If you don't come get it after six months have passed since the end of the auction, it will be resold, and my wife gets the proceeds. If you have a legitimate reason why you need to wait longer than six months to pick up your purchase, contact me and we will work something out. If you have any questions, you can e-mail or call me at (573) 219-6611. Thanks for looking and please check out my other auctions! CONTACT ME If you have any questions about this item, or about delivery or shipping, you can call me or email me. Don't be shy! The only stupid question is the one you are afraid to ask. I prefer email as it lets me answer questions at night when I am not busy and it gives me time to find the right answer to your questions. I also run tractors and skid loaders here on the farm and a lot of times I do not hear my phone. I also live in a rural area and in a lot of places I do not get phone service. One of the places I do not get good coverage is in my shop! So if you can't get me on the phone, try back later or better yet, send me an email and I will get back with you. You can send me an email through ebay or you can send it to me directly to: olivetroad@gmail.com My cell phone number is: (573)219-6611 Check out my other items!
