Vehicle Detail

1975 Honda Civic CVCC 5-speed This is a 36yr old car, so it has it's share of worn or missing parts. I will try to describe and show it to you the best that I can. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. '75 is the first year for the CVCC engine. The 5-speed was a package that also included the real wood steering wheel and shift knob, the extra guages, and wood grain on dash. This also has 5 factory optional alloy wheels (with Honda name on them, shown in picture). The paint is shiny and about 5yrs old (It has been repainted once, the original color). The only rust is in spare tire area where it held water that had leaked past the rear hatch seal. It has a small dent in the panel under the rear bumper (shown in the pictures). It is showing 66,xxx miles. I was told that these were original. The title shows 57k miles at the last transfer, and it is marked under the hood as having a service done at 28k miles in 1995. The engine compartment is very clean on top and has only a little seepage underneath. The underbody is fairly straight, even the rails where it was seamed together are very straight. It has a 5 speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly, and the clutch feels good. The original wood steering wheel has no cracks, but could use refinishing. All the guages work. It has a speedometer, tach, temp, and fuel guage. The ignition has been relocated to the dash (as seen in the pictures). The car starts easily with just a little choke (it's warm here in Arizona). It runs good and does not smoke. It drives smooth and straight down the road, but needs struts. The dash is cracked, the seat upholstery is worn and sunburnt. The headliner and carpet have been removed. The weather stripping is looking pretty old. Overall the interior is probably the roughest part of the car, but it's still usable. With a small amount of work this should make someone a good driver, or it could be a solid start for a restoration. It's very original and has not been modified.
