Vehicle Detail
1982 Jeep Scrambler CJ-8 in "Woods Fresh" Condition!!! Yes, I pulled this beast out of the woods yesterday and gave her a scrub-down to get the mold off and to relocate some mosquitoes. The vehicle that your are bidding on is: Motorless. Rusted. Non-Titled. The Bad Stuff No Motor. No Radiator. Rust, rust, and some more rust. Seasoned with love but mostly salt. New England's car killer. Pieces may be missing. Windshield Frame is collapsing. Fred Flinstone Floorboards. Has to be towed home. Check out the tilt wheel!!!!! NO TITLE! Maine does not require one for vehicles of this age. You will get a bill of sale. This is not a swap job either. The VIN Tag is on the Jeep with the proper number. The Good Stuff: Automatic 999/904 Transmission Goes with it. Dana 300 Transfer Case Connected to above goes with it. Half cab is in great shape with one drilled hole less than 1/2" diameter that can easily be patched. Bulkhead is in great shape. Bed is in fairly decent shape. Some holes in side panels and a crack/rust line about a foot behind the cab. You could graft this bed section onto a CJ-7 or YJ tub and come out with a nice Scrambler body for cheap. Frame and running gear is all there. Frame is not in bad shape. Much of the wiring harness is still intact. Reality: This is a candidate for a full restoration or parts swap. You can't throw a motor in this, add some bondo, and drive it around. This vehichle is 30 years old and needs attention. But it is a Scambler. Hard to find and my reserve will be well below what you would spend for a 1/2 hardtop, bulkhead, and Dana 300, and I am throwing in a legit Scrambler to boot. My Terms: Serious Bidders Only. Don't Ask Me to Arrange or Quote Shipping. That is your job. I will put it at the curb ready to go. Won's ship overseas or to Africa or any of that scammer related behavior that ruins online auctions for everyone. Deposit of $200 due within 3 business days of auction close. Final payment in full due within 5 business days of auction close. PayPal or Cash. Not interested in Bank Checks or other easily printed homemade check types. Pickup to be made within 2 full weeks of auction close. Longer times may be negotiated as long as item is paid for.
