This is my father-in-laws car and I do not know much about it - here are the details he sent me - if you have any questions please call Mun at 304-292-0610 and leave a message - he will call you back. Also please note we have no way of delivering this vehicle - it is pick up only and it is located in Morgantown W.V. - thanks - here's the details... 1951 MG TD (TD1217 ExLu). Was in a fire but wood frame intact . Good chasis, running gear, engine rebuilt months before the fire. Good parts car - but I am not intrested in parting it out. This was my fantasy car ever since my adolescence when an attractive older woman drove one at the golf course where I was a caddy. After being discharged from the service and returning to graduate school, the fantasy showed up for sale in my own backyard - having been owned by 2 others. Even being strapped for funds, I found a way to satisfy my fantasy. Even though it was in running condition, I began a restoration. Having 71,784 miles, it was due. The year after completing this restoration, I entered a "local car show" and was rewarded with a 1st place in the general category. The following spring as I was leaving town to fish with a friend, I went by the garage where the car was stored and there was a fire truck. The fire was out and the TD had been pulled from the garage but not before it was burned badly. It spent the next few years stored under a tarp until I could locate a new garage and there it remained "up on blocks" until this past summer when I decided that I would not follow through on my intention to restore it once more. It was pulled out in order for pictures to be taken and there it sits once more under a tarp and looking for its rebirth. This 1951 MG TD (TD1217 ExLu) barely survived but has many remaining good body and chassis parts. The motor was rebuilt before the fire. I am not interested in parting out the car. Many parts - miscelaneous things like door handles, bumper brackets, side curtain frames, mirrors. etc. were removed after the fire - I still have them in boxes that come with the sale. All instruments were lost in the fire as was the seat and soft top etc.
