Vehicle Detail

This car is a daily driver and I am still using it to commute to work. The aircondition still blows cold. It is a very reliable car in a very good condition given its age and mileage. I never had any problems with the car. The car is usually located here, just come by and take a look(if you are planning to see the car please text me and I will give you the exact location). If you want to test drive the car let me know and I will be happy to hand you the keys. NY inspection sticker until July 2012. Standard: ABS (4-Wheel) Cruise Control Cassette Air Conditioning Power Steering Dual Air Bags Power Windows Tilt Wheel Steel Wheels Power Door Locks AM/FM Stereo KBB(estimate) Carfax (report) This is a 1999 New Beetle GLS that is 11 years old with about 125k. A lot of necessary repairs have been done over the past year or so and I believe you can drive this car for at least another year with no repairs except the necessary oil change every 3k. Below you will find a list of the repairs as well as the problems of the car. Repairs(replacements): September 2011: New driver side window regulator. Passenger side is good. May 2011: MAF sensor replaced at 126200. The car has 127365mile now. April 2011: Tune up at about 126000 New spark-plug wires New spark-plugs New Air filter. August 2010 New battery with two year replacement warranty with receipt at Strauss Auto (I have the receipt) June 2010 at over 118000 miles replaced: Timing belt Water pump (metallic not plastic) Timing belt Tensioner. Crankshaft sensor Oxygen sensor. April 2010 2 New front tires bought from eBay (you can check my eBay feedback; New Kumho Solus KH25 Tire(s) 205/55-16 55R16 2055516 (item number 390131340441), April 17 2010). 4 wheel alignment after the tire installation. Note: The rear tires where replaced along with the front ones in spring 2008(don’t remember exactly when). I didn’t replace the rear tires in April 2010 as they had and still have a lot of threat left. Check the pictures. My guess you have at least 15-20K miles to get out of them. They are Kumho Solus KH16 March 2010: New Gas filter. New Cabin filter. Previous repairs, accessories. New brake pads installed in late 2009 (Oct-Dec. don’t remember exactly when) still have a lot of life remaining. All 4 shocks where replaced in summer of 2008 around 100k The car also has all weather OEM mats (see pictures). Aftermarket Sony cd radio was on when I purchased the car 73k. I replaced the oil at 124500 CONS Airbag light is on (was on when I bought the car). I know from my mechanic that the door air capsule is triggered because he read it on the computer. It doesn’t affect NY inspection at all. Check engine light is coming on and off since I purchased the car at 73K. It seems that it can pass the NY inspection with it. What I do is reset the light and drive for a few miles and when it doesn’t come on I take it to inspection. It just passed inspection like this in June 2011. The check engine light is a common problem for these cars. It is currently off.Radiator was professionally repaired for a small leak and might need replacement in the future. Doesn't leak at all now. The rear bumper is pretty beat up from parking in NYC. I recommend you come and take a look at the car before you bid. The driver’s seat was repaired (see picture). The upper cloth (headliner) of the car is stapled (see picture). The leather on the doors is also stapled on edges (also see pictures). The starter sometimes makes a short whistling noise when you start the car. This is due to lubrication of the starter. I found the problem online but I didn’t think it was worth repairing. It has been like this for at least 2 yeas now and there isn’t any problem other than the short sound All the problems I mentioned don't keep it from driving. I have mentioned everything I know about the car so you can make your decision. The car is sold AS IS.Good Luck more pictures: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/?cmd=ViewItem&_trksid=p3984.m1562.l2649&item=230675055081&sspagename=STRK%3AMEUSX%3AIT On Sep-30-11 at 10:09:16 PDT, seller added the following information: 1) If this car sells for more than $2500 I will install a brand new radiator before delivery. 2) If this car sells for more than $3000 I will install a brand new radiator and new clutch before delivery. 3) If this car sells for more than $3500 I will install a brand new radiator, new clutch and headliner before delivery. This will delay the delivery of the car by about 2 weeks. The sale must be completed 100% before these repairs take place. In case you choose to make the repairs yourself, there will be a $250 discount on the final price if the car sells between 2500-2999, $500 discount on the final price if the car sells between 3000-3499,and 750 if over 3500.
