Vehicle Detail
This flagship V6 Luxury Edition Camry was made in Japan to debut the redesigned Camry. I bought it new at Thousand Oaks Toyota in 1992. It's been reliable and drives well, with acceleration and quick ABS brakes when needed, and for cruising, the steering and alignment are precise. It is a good size for loading up for road trips. Comes with most, if not all, service receipts. Airbag. 26 MPG. Original engine and transmission, neither leaks oil (gaskets have been replaced). It has three original polished alloy wheels (the fourth is the non-polished ’92 Camry alloy wheel). No major accidents, but some minor body work. Great history report. New: Oil, transmission fluid, coolant. Like-new condition: Distributor, ignition wires, door handles. Very good condition: Suspension (front and rear struts, shocks, boots and parking brake, all replaced within last 9000 miles). Cooling system.Major items replaced: Timing belt @ 149,157. Front engine mount: 175,562. Brake rotors: 200,154 (front); ~196,000 (rear). All wheel alignment: 204,037. Parking Brake: ~211,000. No leaks (oils, coolants, rain). All lights, signals, and cruise control work. Good Tires: Front: Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 studless snow tires, remaining tread 5/32. Rear: Tempest Touring TR, remaining tread 6/32. Firestone FR380, remaining tread 6/32" Interior clean and dry. Quiet fan. Very cold AC. Non-smoking car. No tears or stains in the seats. One thin crack in top of dashboard, 1 1/2". Some 1/4" cracks in console lid (pic). Floor mats decent. No cracks in the windshield, one ding. The body has 19 years of minor dimples and chips in the paint, most touched-up. A parking lot scrape (hit and run) on the left rear wheel well has been smoothed over with bondo and painted with primer, but there is some rust poking thru the primer. There are some other sun bleached and peeling patches of paint. It would look better with a paint job. Tow hitch included. Needs attention: 1. The right rear tire needs to be resealed to the rim; leaks slowly, 2 lb/day, down to about 20, then it stops. I top it up every few days. You should know: 1. The exhaust flex pipe under the engine is cracked. A temporary patch muffles well. I've been quoted $160 to replace the flex pipe. 2. Front passenger window goes up but not down. Reversing the window motor wires makes it go down, so the problem is either the switch or a loose wire. 3. Sun roof does not open. 5. Sound system is removed, but front doors are wired for after-market speakers. I will show you how to remove the panels to install your own system. Terms: Offered honestly with full disclosure. Questions welcome. Therefore, sold as-is, with some gas and two spare keys. By bidding, you agree to pay a non-refundable $65 deposit through Paypal within 24 hours (this covers my selling costs if you defect).
