***** 1-OWNER ***** Purchased 1-yr old in N.Y. state with 10,000 miles and was a Ford/Lincoln Mercury Dealer Executive Demo. 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid 4X4 with 124,232 carefully driven, mostly hi-way miles, properly serviced at the correct intervals, non-smoker, garage kept, NEVER wrecked, 100% ORIGINAL paint. The body is totally RUST-FREE, there is absolutely NO body damage, the paint is a 9 out of 10 for a few very-minor rock-chips on the front of the hood and some very-minor scratches here & there due to its age. The interior is a 9.5 out of 10 for the drivers seat and the small very-minor stain on the center back-seat bottom. The LEATHER interior is FLAWLESS!!! The carpet is FLAWLESS, although, the floor mats are soiled. Mechanically PERFECT!!! Alloy wheels are curb rash FREE. EVERYTHING in PERFECT operating condition. (The only options this SUV does not have are moonroof, side running boards, and a tow-package). The sticker price for this SUV was over $30,000 new. This 4X4 Sport Utility Vehicle is in near PERFECT condition and the ONLY reason it is being sold is to buy another SUV Hybrid with more towing capacity to haul my collector cars to shows and special events. I've already sold my Lexus GX-470 here earlier this year, which was used for that purpose (check out my outstanding feedback for it). I have owned & leased many Electric & Hybrid cars in the past, including 1 of 457 1999 GM Gen II (NiMH) EV1's, 2000 Honda Insight, 2003 & 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid, 2003 & 2008 Toyota Prius, 2008 Lexus GS 450h. I feel this Escape is one of the best Hybrids of its kind and also has performance levels NOT found in most Hybrids even with todays technology. EPA fuel economy rating of 31-mpg Hi-way & 26-mpg City, but this will vary according to your personal driving habits and driving locations. Because of the age & mileage of this vehicle, it is being sold AS-IS. The vehicle has ONLY the following flaws. 1-The hood has a small very-minor dent in it where your would place your hand to shut it (pictured). 2-The tailgate has some small very-minor scrathes in the paint from my sons Mountain-Bike rack (pictured). 3-The drivers left-side seat bottom foam cushion bolster has some wear from getting in & out of the vehicle (pictured). 4-The center rear seat bottom has a small very-minor Kool-Aid stain on it (pictured). 5-The P235/70R16 tires have just started making road-noise and are at the tread-wear indicators and have approx 1,000-1,500 miles of life left on them (pictured). If you plan on picking it up in person, I personally would not recommend taking them on a road-trip for more than 200-300 miles!!! Inexpensive tires can be purchased online at tirerack.com ranging from $105-$123 each or all 4 ranging from $420-$492 for Yokohama, Firestone, or Dunlop tires. If you like, you can purchase the tires and have them shipped to me for local mounting & balancing (approx $100) at your COST. I will also pick you up at Jacksonville In'tl Airport if required. I would like to address some questions here that I've been asked. 1st: Mike Davidson Ford in Jax just replaced the original battery with a brand-new Motorcraft battery on 9/15/11 and gave this SUV a CLEAN bill-of-health (other than the tires) and I was offered $6,000 on a trade-in. 2nd: There have been questions about ownership. When new this SUV was used by a Ford Motor Company Executive in Allen Park Michigan, then I purchased it as NEW with 9,930 miles on 10/31/05 from De Lacy Ford/Lincoln Mercury in Elma N.Y. It was registered, titled, and a lien was placed on it in Florida on 11/18/05 at 11,433 miles. 3rd: The SUV has NOT had 3-owners, but 3 different titles have been issued throughout the years. It was paid-off on 4/3/06 and a lien-free title was issued. On 7/1/09 at 70,000 miles a duplicate title was issued dropping my ex-wifes name off it. NOTE, all of those titles had the same title NUMBER indicating NO changes in ownership. 4: The AutoCheck report was given a high score of 84, because the vehicle is FREE from title problems, accidents, and odometer roll-back issues.
