For sale is my 1978 Mercedes-Benz 240D. I purchased this car from an older gentlemen in my neighborhood who had bought the car brand new in 1978. The car is in really good shape considering the age. The paint on the car is in good shape and still has a gloss to it ( I believe it to be the original paint ). The only rust on the car is in the lower driver side quarter panel, the spot is only about the size of a quarter, so relatively rust free. All the doors and panels are straight with no dents in them. The hub caps on the car are starting to flake the paint a bit due to the age of the car. As far as the interior goes it does show its age, the back seat looks like it is brand new and the front seats are in good shape maybe a tear here or there but nothing major. The dash is in great shape with no cracks, all the gauges work with exception to the speedometer ( I think it stopped working after it was taken out of storage). The car has the original radio that works and the A/C blows Cold. The car is in great running shape and the 4 speed shifts great, even the gas mileage isn't bad. I have numerous documents that go with the car, including the ORIGINAL window sticker. I have set the reserve quite low and I may take it off if the bidding gets close enough.
