Hello car people, For your consideration is this beautifully restored VW powered Dune Buggy. We have been restoring buggies for the past three years. This one is #19 and alot of them have been sold on Ebay so be sure to read my Ebay feed back. This buggy was worthy of the restoration it recieved. We started with a very solid body & chassis then we disassembled the buggy down to a bare chassis where we either repaired, replaced or inspected each component. Then we gave it a period correct metal flake paint done in PPG's based coat clear coat paint system the buffed to a mirror like finish. The pictures do not do the rainbow metal flake justice. The paint is a 2011 GM color Synergy Green. The chassis was painted the super durable POR 15 Paint. The engine is a VW dual port that has been recently rebuilt I can't tell you exactly how many cc's it is but way bigger than the stock 1600 The engine has many new components, new dual 44 IDF Weber carbs, new chrome exhaust system , hei ignition system and lots and lots of chrome. In short this engine has some power and is a blast to drive The manual 4 speed transmission shifts just as it should. The interior is new as well the components include new racing seats, carpet, steering wheel, seat belts front and rear and new rear seat. This buggy has no issues and is worthy of your serious consideration. Other notables Are: New Wheels And Tires, New side pods, New Stereo, New brake lines, fuel lines, clutch cable, ignition switch, headlights, wiring harness, billet mirrors, shocks, Empi shifter, clutch, front and rear bumbers and much more. If you want an affordable piece of American automotive history then this will more than fit the bill and you will get more looks at the traffic light than if you were driving a Corvette.
