Vehicle Detail
hello! i have a 56 2door ranch wagon with no motor or trans. i got the car pretty much as is with a collection purchased from a gentleman who passed away. he had done a fair amount of work to it but still has a way to go. i was going to keep it but finally found the country squire i was looking for. the car was originally buckskin tan with the cool branded interior. body work was done and the door jambs and firewall are cut in black. the front clip was off the car and i have it some what bolted together. the shell of the car was painted but was scuffed back down some as it wasnt quite to his liking. that is where it sat till i got it. the body is pretty decent, although there is some lower patching. it does have original rockers and the quarters do not appear to have patch panels. actually look good even with black paint. the floors have had minimal work, the spare tire well is excellent and has a perfect front crossmember. a few outer body supports have some rust as the cowl mounts but i understand them being skipped over as the car is generally sound. very solid doors. the front clip is decent but still needs some finishing work. the inner fenders and panels where very nice, all blasted and painted. the front suspension has been redone with ball joints, bushings, and stabilizer parts. the car has new tinted windshield with rubber, beautiful new headliner and windlace. the dash is painted and guages restored. the original door panels are there for patterns. the quarter panel trim for the driver side is there but the door and fender trim is missing. any 2 door customline will work. the grille and parking light housings are very decent cores.it will need all side glass. one side is there for patterns. the regulators and door parts are installed on the car. there is an extra upper tailgate for the glass. the lower tailgate appears to have no patching and is straight. i installed the upper hardware but will need the lower. i have stressed making sure all the wagon parts are with car. the only exception being the rear most flat panel that covers the spare tire well. he was making a driver, and thats what it will be. certainley a respectful one or a hot rod/ rat rod with small block? you choose. the car was 292 m code with 3 speed. originally. thats all i can think of now. come see if you like, and ask any questions. very reasonable reserve as i dont reall need the car. thanks!
