Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1967 Fiat Dino Coupe. The collector car world has been talking alot about these cars, with recent articles in Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car and Sports Car Market. According to the Dino world wide registry, there are approximately 450 of the Fiat Dino 2 liter Coupes left. These Fiat Coupes were designed by Bertone and powered by a Ferrari built V6, twin cam, Dino motor. This 1967 Fiat Dino is vin #135AC0001963 and shows 74448 Kilometers (46,260 miles). As a lifetime car nut and collector, a new find has forced me to thin the herd. The Fiat is shown at a lot of shows in the Minnesota/Wisconsin area. It typical wins its category. I think places well not because it is a 100 point car (which it’s not), but because it is very rare and unique piece of Italian automotive history. In my estimation, this is a solid #3 plus vehicle. The Fiat has a few rust spots. These were taken care of when the car was painted (way before my purchase). A few bubbles on the front hood. A few on the rear quarter up next to the deck lid, and on the lower parts of the doors. These bubbles have not gotten any worse since my purchase. There are some chips and small cracks in the paint. The seats and carpet are very nice. There is a crack in the upper dash pad and on the tips of the pad where the defrost vents are located. The front windscreen has some repaired chips, but all of the other glass is in very good condition. The trim pieces and bumpers are nice. I purchased the car in 2006 on the west coast. The PO had done the brakes, front end and clutch and transmission rebuild. Since it’s purchase. I have installed shocks, rebuilt the fresh air boxes and tubes, Redline fluids in trans and dif, rebuilt taillight housings, rebuilt driver door hinges and gaskets, exhaust work and general maintenance. The Fiat has never let me down, it drives and runs well. Lots of spare parts are included. Also included are Factory Literature, service work invoices, copies of the service manual and a rare, out of print book by Mike Morris. I recommend and encourage any potential buyer to inspect the Fiat Dino, The car is sold AS IS, with no warranty expressed or implied . A $1000.00 Non refundable deposit is required via Paypal, within 48 hours of commitment to buy. Balance of funds are due within 7 days and may be a wire transfer or Cashiers check. Funds will have to clear before vehicle is released. Shipping arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Any questions or to arrange an inspection, please drop me a line. On Aug-23-11 at 10:52:52 PDT, seller added the following information:To answer a few frequently asked questions; I have done nothing to the motor except fluid changes/filters and carb adjustments/filters. Compression test was done about 3k miles ago. #1=160, #2=165, #3=160, #4=155, #5=158, #6=165.. RO Stated, “Good even compression at all cylinders.” Engine starts with no smoke and oil pressure jumps to over 60 on the gauge. Corso Rosso Red was not the original exterior color. I believe it was a Light blue metallic.
