Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!! 1976 Honda CB360T (manufactured 5/75) completely unrestored. 5,319 original miles. I believe I’m the second owner. Bike was stored for 20 years in a garage when I found it 11 years ago out on the east coast and brought it out to the southwest. In 2006 I put a new battery in it, fresh gas, registered it and drove it on the weekends for fun. When I registered it, it had to go through emissions. It passed emissions with flying colors as the hydrocarbons were 188 (up to 1800 is allowed) and Carbon Monoxide was 1.52 (5.50 allowed). I put the bike back in storage in late 2006 and just pulled it out this weekend. It has not run since as I left gas in it when I stored it. I drained the old gas this weekend, changed the fuel tank screen/petcock, drained the carbs and put fresh gas in it. It fired up, but ran rough so I shut it off. The battery is dead as well (had to kick start it). Don’t know if it needs a good battery to run right or not. Believe it will need the carbs pulled and cleaned as after I shut it off, it did not start after 3 to 4 kicks. Decided not to mess with it. Ran fantastic when it was put up, so believe anyone who knows how to wrench on these old bikes will get it running fine. I don’t have the time or know how. Bike has like new Cheng Shin tires (3.50-18 rear, 3.00-18 front). It has one half-dollar size dent on the gas tank just above the “H” on the left side (shown in pictures). Both side panels have cracks (see pictures), but can be re-glued easily. The original tool kit is included and still has the spare cotter key for the rear axle. The frame is nice and clean and seat still looks new, no cracks, rips, or tears. The original owner’s manual comes with it too. Although the bike is original and unrestored, it does have a newer clutch cable and the mirrors are not original. They look good on the bike, but are not original. Other than the clutch cable, mirrors, and tires, the bike is exactly how it came from the factory 35 years ago. There is some small pitting here and there on the chrome, but some polish and a little elbow grease should take most of it out. I also noticed a small hole in the rear left exhaust pipe. Not noticeable when standing next to the bike and nothing major (see picture). Exhaust will still last for years. Overall the bike is in great original survivor shape. I am listing the bike locally as well, so I could end the auction early. Prefer local pick up, but if it needs to be shipped, the winning bidder will need to make all the arrangements. I'll take cash locally and PayPal. I tried to explain the bike the best I could, feel free to ask any questions. I don’t hold anything back, check out my feedback. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Good luck and thanks for looking. On Sep-12-11 at 19:03:52 PDT, seller added the following information: ******** Due to the bike recieving an eBay bid on the first day of the listing, I have decided not to list the bike locally or sell the bike outside of eBay. The bike will be sold here on eBay to the highest bidder and I have no intentions of ending the auction early. Best of luck and thanks for your interest. On Sep-16-11 at 18:12:24 PDT, seller added the following information: ******** Found the original mirrors for the bike in storage. They are not in good shape, but will go with the bike. The right mirror is missing glass/mirror and it's banged up and the left one is in pretty good shape, but will need some chrome polish cleaning. By the looks of the stems, they have pitting that will not come completely out. Again, just wanted to let all know I had found the mirrors. I also found an extra rear wheel assembly (axle, washers, brake, etc) with an original (worn) Bridgestone on it that I picked up a few years ago at a yard sale. The wheel looks pretty good. I'll thow this in with the auction as well as I have no use for it. Finally, I found a plastic top battery cover that I think is for this bike and that goes with it as well. Best of luck to all and thanks for looking.
