2001 Isuzu VehiCross AWD, Rebuilt engine with only 17,900 miles on it. Price- $11,700. CarFax report available. This car has clear title and has never been in an accident. **On Vehicle report it shows a lien issue from the original buyer when it was bought new in 2002. This is a paperwork or computer glitch from 2002. Two owners since '02 have had this vehicle tagged and titled with no problems. If there was a lien issue then the previous owner and myself would not have been able to tag and title it in two different states. ** Black with red interior. This is probably one of the best Vehicross SUV's you'll ever find in the U.S. or even the world. If you like to be the center of attention and drive something truly unique that not many other people have then you will certainly enjoy driving this fun car. It has a sharp turning radius and small enough to fit in tight spaces. It's not a big clunky, box-type SUV like most are today. History: There were only 4153 VehiCross vehicles made for the U.S. market between 1999 and 2001. This was the first real cross over vehicle made and was prototyped in Japan at 1998 Japan Auto Show. Production started in '99. There were only 702 black VX's made for the U.S. Out of them, only 87 black VX's are 2001. I bought this in 2008. I am the 3rd owner. Previous owner was in Kentucky and always garage kept the car and pampered it like I have. Before Kentucky, the car was first sold brand new in Nevada. It was never smoked in. I have meticulously maintained this car just like any car that I own. I have a thick folder of receipts to back up my claim as to the work that was done. I am retired so the car was never used in commuting to work. It was used for occasional trips to the store or day tripping. It has never been used in off-roading. With the car currently in Las Vegas, it has never seen rain since Jan '10. If it did rain on the rare occasion, I purposely kept it in the garage. As you will see with the description below I have put my heart and soul in this car. Car is kept in a garage at all times. Never baking in the sun. After I purchased it in Dec. of '08, I immediately brought it to an Isuzu dealership for a complete A through Z check-up. It spent 4 months at Isuzu getting a whole lot of items upgraded and replaced with new. I purchased a rebuilt engine by Dahmer Electric Co. in Ohio. It is well respected by Isuzu for their high quality engines. I paid $3900 for the engine which included all internal parts balanced and blueprinted with all new gaskets and hoses. New engine was installed with odometer reading at 86,780. The odometer reading now is 104,400. So the real mileage on the engine is approx. 17,620. I'm still using the vehicle so miles will be slightly higher than listed. The engine was installed using Isuzu's computerized equipment so the marriage between the vehicle and the new engine was perfect to company specifications. It runs smooth and powerful. I have always brought this car in for regular maintenance. All fluids are new. Transmission service was done in '08 by Isuzu. All fluids were drained and replaced with high quality synthetic oils and lubricants. Vehicle was last serviced in March of '11. Car runs smooth and quiet. Everything on car works and runs perfectly. The following list is what was installed to the car since Dec. '08. * Rebuilt Engine. All new gaskets, oil/water pump, internal parts balanced and blueprinted. Engine still under warranty until Jan. '12. * New stainless steel braided brake lines with new brake fluid. * New radiator with all new gaskets, new matching red silicone hoses. * New fan blade. * New upper/lower ball joints, sway bar links, control arm bushings and CV joints. * New brakes and rotors. * New 2 OEM headlights with gaskets with 3M clear lens protectors in front. * New German made HID lighting system in headlights. (These are not the cheap bulbs you get in your local auto parts store. The lights are bright blue and illuminate the road at night very well). Extra resistors and relays included for spare. * New fuel filter, alternator, starter, red long-life poweful Optima battery. * New passenger/driver side electric mirrors. * All exterior light bulbs are super bright LED. * All exterior light lens are new including the brake lights. * 2 new license plate lights and lens. (bright blue LED bulbs looks like Lexus and Mercedes) * The Cd/Radio/Cassette Player taken out and sent to United Radio in NY. All parts completely cleaned and lubricated. * New windshield washer reservoir. * New Corbeau Sport Racing Seats in matching black/red cloth. Much better than original seats. Seats move back and forth easily and back moves forward with just a push of a lever. The original had an annoying wheel you had to turn. * New (4) PIAA front fog lights. * New front side amber lights made to "blink" in tandem with the turn signal. Stock lights didn't blink. Safety of this increased to let other drivers know your intentions. * New timing belt. Extra timing belt included for spare. * 4 new tire air caps which shows low air pressure indicators at a glance. * New side passenger/driver window rain guards. 2 extra included. * Complete under carriage sprayed with rust/sound proofing at Ziebart. * New German made "Hella" horn. Louder than stock. * New carpet-like black dash cover made to order. Fits perfectly. Extra included. * New made to order front black leather hood bra by Colgan Sports Co. Extra included. * New alarm system with LED dash indicator light. * New auto remote start installed. Great in winter to warm up car. 2 key fobs included with Isuzu key chain with Isuzu logo. * New (4) Monroe shocks. Old shocks were shot. New ones makes ride smooth and quiet. * New Bridgestone Blizzak KN 4 X 4 tires. Excellent traction in rain and snow. 245/55/18 * New (4) OEM 18" rims. Replaced the originals with brand new. 1 rim included for spare for a total of 5. * Spare doughnut rim and tire in back rear hatch door. Never used. * 3 red matching storage containers in rear cargo area. * 2 OEM rear cargo mats included. * 2 sets, brand new OEM VX front car mats with Isuzu logo. * New power steering fluid. * New K-40/2000 Remote/undetectable Radar Detector with front/rear protection attached to front/rear license plates. Has volume control. City/highway mode. This was $1200. * New front/side, rear windows tinted with high quality heat/sun reflecting tint. * Hot Shot chrome intake with K&N cone filter. Extra filter included. * Extra OEM rear cargo area overhead light with LED bulb. * Front overhead console with sunglass compartment, compass, temp. gauge, Homelink to operate garage doors, digital voice recorder. * White face gauges in instrument panel, blue, green, red at night. * Rear 3rd brake light "blinks" several times when braking to warn people behind you. * New Bully Bar tow hitch with trailer 2" wiring. Extra new one included. * All belts, hoses, clamps in engine compartment have been changed to new. Visible ones have matching red clamps. * New matching red radiator cap. * New (4) front /rear mud flaps. No more cleaning bottom cladding from road debris. * Exterior fiberglass cladding dyed with permanent black dye and conditioner. * New chrome temperature/clock gauges on center console. * Optional roof racks included. * Optional front/rear skid plates included. * Padded center arm rest pad. There are no dents in the body or cladding whatsoever. A few minor scratches from normal wear but you have to look really close to see them. I clean and wax the car on a weekly basis. There are no oil leaks. Everything on the vehicle works. It was never smoked in. No tears in seats or carpets. Most upgrading of the vehicle was done in Maryland. I moved to Las Vegas in Jan. 2010. The vehicle was transported in a contained trailer. It wasn't driven here. Car never seen any moisture since winter of 2010. Vehicle only has two front seats. There are no rear seats. I took them out since I wanted more cargo space. Vehicle is really excellent in rain and snow. With its low body and big 18" wheels, tires just grab the road in the rain. I drove it through 3-4 feet of snow in 2010 when Md. had a blizzard and it never got stuck. Vehicle has extra TOD, torque on demand, when you desire to use in snow.
