Vehicle Detail
1949 Ford Convertible Shoebox project. Disassembled. Pretty solid car for a convertible. Door pillars are excellent as well as doors and trunk lid. No motor or transmission. Rolls around on tires that are holding air. Many parts not pictured including dash, hub caps, headlight rings, etc. Missing a couple of the door glass but have leads for them. Top irons there Quarter sized rust hole in trunk. Rest of trunk is very solid. Extra front passenger fender Extra rear end Floors look real good for a 49 convertible. Two 3"x6" holes near front floor is by far the worst of it. Couple of rust pinholes on driver side right above the side trim in rear quarter. There is some soft rust through in the lower rear qtr as well. All rust looks to be easy fix locations. Frame horns have a slight tweak to them but nothing major. No motor, transmission or seats. No gauges but have dash and steering wheel. Inner and outer rockers have some soft spots and light rust through. There is also some of the common rust in the lower cowl sides. Good Nebraska title - barn find car 30 days to pickup the car, sold as is. I need the garage space!! :) Transport companies do not seem to want to ship these cars unassembled, so make sure that you can transport or pickup before bidding. I will not be able to hang the doors, the front end is just sitting on the car not attached. The front cowl is not bolted down currently. I used motorcycle straps to support the cowl to the frame so that nothing would get stressed when I pulled it home so I can include those no problem. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! Mike hot rod rat rod custom kustom shoebox ford 1949 1950 1951 classic car barn find flathead Climbed under the car for the first time and the frame looks good other than the front end tweak (lots of undercoating), as usual with these cars the floor bracing looks like it will need replaced. I didn't realize it until I was under that the rear pumpkin is not in. Just want to make sure that you know what you are getting and I want to be absolutely honest and not misrepresent.
