Vehicle Detail
This car has been driven daily since February 2008. The mustang has a 250i6 and a 3 speed C4 transmission, showing 33,601 on the odometer. Someone replaced the stock 200 with the correct year 250 some time ago. The engine has no top-end or low-end noise and burns no oil. It has manual drum brakes and manual steering. The rearend was replaced with a lower geared unit which sacrifices low-end punch for a better highway driving experience. A 75mph cruising speed is comfortable for the car. I replaced the Carb with a Vaporizer unit from Pony Carburetors, inc. The $429 unit is designed for this engine and removes all flat spots, surges, and inconsistent fuel delivery issues. To improve reliability further, the points were replaced with the Pertronix II electronic ignition, which uses a magnetic reluctor and computerized dwell for a more positive spark delivery. This car will not leave you stranded. The headlight system is from reenmachine.com. It modernized the illumination to today's standards with state of the art wiring and Delta halogen headlamps. Among the many new parts, are the tires, headliner, interior panels, dash trim, door sills, and front spoiler. Shocks, tire rods, front coil springs, suspension and steering are all new. The wheels have also been replaced with American Racing Outlaw II's. Have original radio for the car but currently has a brand new pioneer stereo. I Also replaced all the speakers with rockford fosgate speakers. They did no cutting of any kind to the doors or dashboard. Interior leather of this car is beautiful. Carpet is in good shape but slightly faded. There is a slight dime size chip in the windshield, which is the original windshield and decal. Didn't have the heart to change it. There has been minor body work to 2 of the quarters. This is a 40 year old car and is straight and solid. Frame rails, torque boxes, shock towers, floor pans, gas tank, etc... show no evidence of rust. The paint is black jade with a high luster and looks great. This car has not had a frame-on nor frame-off restoration. It is a great daily driver and in great driving condition. Car could be show material with very little work. Car has been appraised at 17,000 with current modifications. If you have any other questions or need additional pictures feel free to e-mail me. Will give out my number if you are a serious bidder. In addition to driving this car to work and back on a daily basis, I have recently driven it roundtrip to St. Louis where the car got 19 mpg at 70 mph. You could fly in and drive it home without any worry at all.I require $1000 deposit and pickup within 7 days. I reserve the right to end the auction if sold locally.
