Vehicle Detail
This auction is for my 1971 Honda CB750 K1. Very solid and clean 40 year old motorcycle. I have a clear title and the key. When I bought this bike the previous owner said it would need gone through as he hadn't rode it for a year or two. I rode the bike up and down the road when I brought it home but it had gas leaking from the carbs and sputtered somewhat ,so I parked it. I cant get it started now but I know it will run. I rode it. Motor made no unusual noises, had good power, trans shifts good like it should, charging system is fine, now battery in May 2011,... Gas still leaks from the carbs though so the carbs will need rebuilt before you can ride it. Overall good condition with a nice 70's era paint job that it still in pretty nice shape, 1 scratch on the tank down to the primer and 1 small one on the side cover. I didnt get a picture of it, but the inside of the gas tank is very nice. Side covers have no cracks and all tabs are good. . Small dent on front fender. The worst looking part on the whole bike is under the seat, but it is only surface rust on both the seat pan and battery box. I had another tool tray so I put that in. Rear turn signals are not installed but are included. Motor has no broken fins or damage, exception of 1 small dent in points cover. Everything on the bike works, signals, head and brake light, horn, signals, speedo and tach, front and back brake. Chrome in pretty good shape as the fenders look good. Headlight mount ears also look real nice and are straight. There is some pitting on the wheels. Someone did have an accident when they were putting the chrome mount ears on the front end and they damaged the vin tag. You can see it in the picture. It is correct and it matches the stamped numbers on the left side of the frame. The previous owner just kept it with the title in an envelope. All in all, a very solid 1971 CB750 K1. Rebuild the carbs and you have a nice vintage daily driver. Buy some paint and some pipes and you can start to restore a K1 that is gaining in popularity. If you would like any pictures of anything else, please just let me know and I will get them. Likewise with questions, just ask.
