FOR SALE: 1978 Dodge Club Cab Pick-up with original rebuilt 400cid engine. This vehicle was not originally a Club Cab or 4 X 4, but converted using original factory parts (cab and frame). Restored 8 years ago to 80% completition. Engine starts and runs perfect but transmission overflows fluid after 2 miles of driving. Interior has new door panels and armrests, but needs seats and visors reconditioned. Because of this, I am selling this vehicle as a parts vehicle but it could be made drivable with little effort. It will drive onto a trailer under its own power but could not be driven to its new home. Title is free and clear. Options: Automatic transmission, A/C, heavy duty cooling, towing hitch, power steering, power brakes, 4-wheel drive, extended cab, cruise control New or remanufactured items: Mickey Thompson Challenger wheels and BFG tires (15 miles), rebuilt front and rear axle, rear posi, transfer case, driveshaft & u-joints, engine, brakes, steering box, steering shaft (Borgeson), new PPG windshield (15 miles), exhaust, chrome front/rear bumpers, NOS armrests, halogen headlights & carpet. Sheetmetal replaced: NOS doors, NOS core support (heavy-duty cooling), NOS inner fenders, NOS fenders, RUST FREE bed and tailgate were sent through the Redi-Strip process and coated underneath with POR15 paint. Driver's side floor was replaced. Grill was straightened and sent through "Brite-dip" annodizing process for OE look. Items that need service or do not work: Air conditioning (not operational), radio (works great-needs re-wired), transmission (see above), bench seat and jump seats need recovering, side view mirrors (come with truck but need mounted), heater fan motor (not operational), cruise control (not operatioanl), emergency brake (not operational) & washer jets (not operational). Paint is PPG Deltron basecoat/clearcoat Viper GTS blue with “Macho” Power Wagon paint scheme. 15 miles since re-assembled. Bottom of frame and cab sandblasted and coated with POR 15 and cab received additional rubberized undercoating. I am selling this vehicle "As-Is and As Described" in this listing.
