Just consigned from an estate sale is this beautiful, clean, southern, mostly-original, triple-white 1974 Cadillac Eldorado convertible with 500 ci engine. Runs & drives great. Perfect for taking the family for ice cream, a ride through the park, or a local car cruise. Only 7,600 convertibles were produced that year, with triple-white being the most desired. The previous owner purchased it out of Tennessee 4-5 years ago. 90% of that time it was kept in heated storage and never saw snow or weather – but was driven from time to time to keep it operational. It is in mostly in factory original condition with only a few items changed. The drivetrain is original and runs and drives beautifully. The Body is nice, shiny, and straight with a driver quality paint job. No major dents or rust evidence but being this old the body and trim will need some minor restoration work. It can currently be driven as is or restored to original without the major expenses of rust repair. The car is very clean since it was from Tennesee. The car has had some restoration work that was performed several years ago. The body received a basic paint job some years back which still has a nice shine to it. Original floor pans are in very nice shape as is the frame. The convertible top was recently replaced and has a glass rear window installed. Window channels look good as does the glass (no cracks or sanding marks). Most of the trim is there with minimal pitting. Doors, trunk and hood operate as they should with matching keys. Weatherstripping and rubber are good and still in flexible condition. The bumpers are fair – have some pitting and some rust starting in a couple of places. The hood springs need to be replaced and the driver-side mirror needs to be tightened. The Interior is in very nice condition with the seats and door panels in white with blue dash pad and blue carpet. Dash is in excellent shape with no cracks and is not warped. Seats and door panels are in excellent shape, nice and soft with a couple of minor blemishes. The steering wheel has a couple of cracks and some of the wood trim decal is peeling. All windows operate as does the power top and power trunk. A few of the dash components do not work such as speedo, passenger door controls for the windows, radio, antenna. A/C operates but needs a charge. Power seat is not working. Power antenna is in the trunk. Standard and Optional Equipment on this car are... power steering, power brakes, power top, power seat, power door locks, Climate Control air conditioning, tilt, cruise, driver-side remote mirror, lamp monitors. Car also has the hard convertible boot cover. The Drivetrain is a 500 ci engine with 4 barrel carb which runs good and doesn’t overheat. Smooth and quiet. Leaks a few drops of oil. The transmission operates and shifts as it should. No problems in the rear end either. Tires have some flat spots from sitting which cause a minor shimmy and they should be replaced at some point. It is very driveable in its present shape and can be driven to its new home. This car steers and brakes fine. The Undercarriage is in very nice condition too since the car is southern. Floor pans and frame are original and in great condition - no rot here. Trunk drop off to quarters are in great shape. Other info: The car is in pretty much original condition with the following items to note, paint is driver-quality paint job with some defects and overspray in many of the inside edges of the body and around some of the weatherstripping. The factory jack and all accessories are in the trunk. Trunk liner is in nice condition with no rips or damage. Car has a new battery and newer alternator, muffler and master brake cylinder. Car comes with factory keys, clear Ohio title, and some extra parts including power antenna, a set of hood hinges, a hood insulation kit, a new GM rim and a car cover. The speedometer and odometer do not work. The odometer currently reads 36,007 but the title indicates that true mileage is unknown.
