1996 VW Passat TDI Sedan; 137,xxx miles; salvage title, but damage was apparently repaired well; car drives excellent; recent battery, wheel bearings, brakes, tires; aftermarket aluminum wheels that look great; has plug-in heater that works very well for winter; starts well even in cold; A/C works great; approximately 35,000 miles 'til timing belt is due. The bad: Sunroof is siliconed shut and I do not know what is wrong with it, as it was like this when I got the car Passenger front window is inoperable and I do not know the exact problem, as it was like this when I got the car Passenger front door handle just started giving me problems, exterior handle may need replaced Clear coat is peeling on hood, but isn't too bad anywhere else I don't think the key works on the trunk, but the button to unlatch the trunk works fine Fuel gauge is not always accurate, but once you get used to the car, you'll be able to go by the trip odometer Great car (who doesn't like getting 45 mpg?). My only reason for selling is that I don't drive it enough because I do construction and can't haul enough. I would love to keep it, but it's just not feasible for me at this time.
