With less then 51,000 original miles, This car could possibly be one of the CLEANEST, RUST-FREE wagons in the country! Still wearing 90% of the "ORIGINAL" factory paint with ABSOLUTELY NO RUST issues anywhere... the floor pans, floor supports, inner rockers are excellent....the underside of the car is in amazing condition...the lower skin on the tailgate looks as new. The California paint is Sun-Faded and Worn just perfectly... You might want to leave the exterior just like it is to show how amazing & original the 51 year old sheet metal is. Factory original tinted glass throughout! The front windshield has a small chip in it, but nothing that takes away from the car and the rest of the glass is perfect... All trim & chrome is original to the car and in great original shape, one quarter molding has a small dent but an N.O.S. replacement is included. The interior other then the carpet is 100% original! Even the front seat is still wearing the original Fingerhut plastic seat cover .... All seat fabric, door panels, dash, steering wheel, window cranks, door handles and interior chrome is perfect! Headliner is also original to the car and there is small tears, but it's in the far back area. The carpet was replaced recently. This car was originally a 283 powerglide car. However, this past year it received a fresh, completely rebuilt 1964 409 cu.in. motor mated to a Muncie M-20 4-speed trans with new clutch , pressure plate, throw out bearing, etc. with new factory appearing floor shifter. The motor is 400HP with the correct heads, intake, pistons, crank, covers, air cleaner, etc. The distributor is electronic and the carb is a Holley. New 4-core radiator & new dual exhaust. On the engine conversion, great attention to detail was taken to make this car appear as a factory 409 car. The car also feature's factory air which is all hooked up but has not been charged and tested. Ok.... anyone that know anything... knows 409 motors are going for between 7-10k alone.....Here's a great opportunity to own an EXTREMELY RARE WAGON in AMAZING ORIGINAL CONDITION, where will you find another one like it?
