Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1972 MGB GT coupe for restoration. A great deal of work has already completed as follows: Fuel system: New tank, new SU electric fuel pump, new tank to pump line, new line from pump to middle of car. Brake System: New master cylinder, new steel lines to all four wheels, new rotors, pads, and calipers on the front. New drums, shoes, and wheel cylinders on the rear. Braided stainless lines front and rear. Exhaust System: NOS ANSA three into one header, new stainless tailpipes and muffler, new hangers and brackets. Suspension: The rear shocks have been converted to Monroe tube shocks (Dodge Colt) and new leaf springs and bushings installed. Engine compartment: New oil cooler with braided stainless hoses, new alternator, new water pump, rebuilt SU carbs, chrome air cleaners, new front oil seal, new points, condenser, cap and plug wires. Body: Aluminum hood, NOS right front fender (passenger side) , used hatch, used tail light assemblies in very good condition. Misc.: New Bridgestone 185x70x14 tires mounted on excellent Rostyle wheels. Parts: NIB clutch/pressure plate/throw out bearing, new seals for all doors and windows, new wheel trim rings, new rear bumper, two driver side front fenders (one NOS and one used), used rear seat and cushion in very nice condition, and many more new and used parts too numerous to list. The majority of the work left to be done is on the body to get it ready for paint and the interior which needs to be gutted and redone. I have had the car running using a gas can and a mickey mouse system to deliver fuel to the engine. It ran well at that time. I have never titled the car in my name, but I do have the title that I received from the previous owner when I bought it. That and a bill of sale will satisfy the required to register it. If you’re looking for a solid base to restore, this is the one. Ask whatever questions you might have before bidding and I’ll make every effort to answer them the same day. Good luck bidding.
