Heavily modified 62 Ranchero. Needs body work to be as nice as it once was.Runs and drives fine, but has been out of regular use for 3-4 years, so will need freshening up. ENGINE/TRANSMISSION: 63 170 CI six with about 30,000 on complete rebuild. Offy "intake" with three Holley 1909 1 barrels in progresive linkage. Ported 78 200 head with hardened valve seats. 351W valve springs. Custom grind Racer Brown cam. Mallory Unilite distributor. Split exhaust manifold with true dual exhaust. Mated to an 87 Mustang T-5 5 sped with Hurst shifter. Runs like a top, but a bit lacking in acceleration., Due to sitting, carbs should be gone through. I have several NOS kits to go with the car. A fourth grader could rebuild these carbs. Super simple. CHASSIS: 5 lug all around. Maverick disc brake conversion up front. Maverick 8" rear. 14X6 Astro Supremes. INTERIOR: Nicely redone upholstery, Pearl turquoise and white tuck and roll, doors were removed and re weatherstripped and painted 6 or 7 years ago. Electric wiper conversion from a 63 Falcon. Autoloc electric entry kit. CD player with speakers in custom kick panels. BODY: Many mods. All trim shaved. Door handles shaved. Rear fender lips radiused via front fender lips. Roll pans, molded tailgate, tonneau cover, custom front end treatment. Have a grille bult to fit the opening, but it needs finished. Custom taillights (50 Pontiac), really too many body mods to list. Can't even remember them all. WHAT IT NEEDS: Depends on who you are, and what you are looking for. Was my daily driver up until about 2007. Needs minor tinkering here and there to be a reliable daily again. Nothing a Saturday afternoon couldn't cure. Want to win trophies? Plan on doing lots of bodywork. The custom work is showing its age, there are cracks in filler here and there, and some rust bubbles in the drip rails. See pics. Starts from under the hood easily, but the ignition switch came apart this morning, and my back won't allow me to crawl under the dash to fix it.
