**Up For Sale: 2000 SLK230 AMG Cabriolet** Here is your chance to get a great deal on an head-turning, affordable, and very fun Mercedes! This car is properly equipped with options including the full AMG Sport Package, which features front and rear painted Factory AMG bumpers, painted Factory AMG side skirts, and Factory 17 inch staggered (meaning wider tires in rear) AMG wheels. The AMG package really provides a sporty appearance for this SLK and looks much better than the standard black-plastic bumpers/side skirts, and standard wheels that come on the non-sport SLK's. This car also has a unique leather interior that includes a two-tone black and gray combination. The interior and exterior color combination is by far the best combination you can order on these cars. Car also comes equipped with Heated Seats, 6-Disc CD Changer, Premium Mercedes-Benz Factory Sound System, and of course, the power Hardtop Convertible Roof that folds conveniently in the trunk. This SLK would be a great car for anyone! It definitely turns heads, and when the top is down it creates an awesome driving experience unmatched by most of the cars I have driven. The 2.3L supercharged in-line 4-cylinder engine has a surprising amount of "pep," and won't accrue large repair bills which owners of 6, 8, and 12 cylinder engine Mercedes can experience. The SLK also gets 20 MPG city and 28 MPG on the Highway! The brakes have plenty of stopping power and the front brakes seem almost brand-new. The tires have a good amount of tread left and seem to have even wear on them. The only upgrade needed for this car were aftermarket headlights, which were done by a previous owner. They provide a MUCH improved look over the factory headlights, and make this car look a lot newer! But we will also include the Factory Mercedes Benz headlights in the auction, if requested. Overall, the car is in pretty good shape for it age and mileage. As you will notice in the pictures below, the Black paint is VERY reflective. The interior is in good shape, and the driver seat has very little wear. I have only driven this car very briefly, and noticed a few VERY minor things it needs, specifically the following: missing the Mercedes-Benz Emblem on the front grill (a complete new front grill is roughly $150 on eBay), driver-side mirror has hazed over (very common problem for SLK’s, still completely usable), front bumper has a minor crack (looks like previous owner may have hit a cement parking curb, I personally wouldn’t even get it fixed), the radio seems to lag or freeze when on AM or Weather Band stations, and when the car first starts up after sitting for a while, it has a slightly odd idle (this goes away after 10-15 seconds, probably needs a tune-up). This car is available for in-person inspection 7 days a week. If you are in the Philadelphia/Southern NJ area, I would definitely recommend taking a look at this car, once you are behind the wheel, you will fall in love with it! My dad purchased this vehicle in the beginning of May from a Dealer in Pennsylvania, with the intentions of giving it to my sister. She drove the car for about 5 weeks (putting roughly 300-400 miles on the car) and has since moved to Colorado, where she will be attending college in the fall. Since then, the car has been sitting in my garage, untouched. I recently had the car detailed, and had the oil changed by a Mercedes-Benz Mechanic. The car serves my family no purpose now, so our loss is your gain!
