Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1952 Buick Special 2dr sedan. Model 48D, 89k original mileage, 263 straight 8, with Dynaflow auto. Runs and drives great. Wide white walls and bias ply’s of course. Very old repaint (not original) all chrome and stainless on the car is there, original, and nice (but needs rechroming) Very solid car, original interior and trunk kit. I have not pulled all carpets, but what I have lifted is solid and no signs of rot. Also from looking at the floorboards from under the car is solid. Only spot I have found with thru cancer of all places is a spot on the passenger door below the side moulding that’s ¼” in diameter caused by the tar board glued on the inside of the door where it came loose and folded over and held moisture. Stuff I have done on the car: Airbagged with a 2-way system(front & rear), 12v conversion, full detailed motor, including chromed valve cover, chromed water pump pulley, chromed oil canister lid, and related hardware, all new engine gaskets, front, rear transmission seals, new motor, transmission mounts, and rebuilt brake master cyl. The addition of true dual carbs and true dual exhaust utilizing factory 1941-42 Buick century compound manifolds using Holley 94 carbs, and running smithy glasspacks out the back. Brand new built radiator, new re-located trans cooler. All new radiator hoses and heater hoses. New metal rear fender skirts. Front suspension has Fatman dropped uprights, modern tube shocks, new uppr and lwr trunions, new rubber seals, new wheel cyls, brake hoses, and air bags. Rear suspension is stock with the addition of air bags, 2001 Chevy suburban sway bar, new wheel cyls, brake hose, and modified modern tube shocks installed. What doesn’t work on the car: E-brake system, stock radio (missing tubes), windshield wipers, floor and defrost heater motors they do work but they need step downs for 6v. So they are just unplugged.
