Vehicle Detail
This car is as clean as it looks. It runs like a new car. It has always started even on the coldest mornings with absolutely no issues. Its handling is direct and finger light, and justifies Mazda's advertising of "Vroom Vroom" with a great shifting 5 speed manual transmission that improves on the industry standard provided by Honda (this owner has had over a dozen in the past 30 years). On very close inspection you will see a very few rock chips on the leading edge of the hood, but otherwise, you would have a hard time telling the difference between this car and a new one. Its interior is super clean with minimal to no wear. Included are a full set of clean Mazda floor mats. It has manual windows, mirrors and locks: it should age more gracefully than the electric versions. It has an aftermarket cruise control that plugged into the car's wiring harness and works like the factory installation up to and including the dash lights indicating "cruise on" in yellow and "cruise activated" with the same light in green. It has consistently returned over 30 miles per gallon even at relatively high cruise rates of 80-85 mph. It also has nearly new Bridgestone Potenza radial tires. The car was bought new by an engineer in Houston and I bought it over a year ago. It has NOT seen salt. This car will make you an excellent second car for you or your kids. Just a note for you folks: teach your kids HOW to drive this car (its clutch is light and the shift is easy to master) and you will neatly avoid the dreaded "I loaned the car to a friend and he/she had an accident! It has had two recalls- one for a power steering update and one for a ground strap on its wiper motor. Both recalls have been done although neither system was causing any problem at the time I received notice from Mazda. There are no noticeable flaws, and this car should provide many miles of trouble free and economical driving without putting you into a "penalty box". I am currently putting together money for a retirement house. Don't miss this one. Questions will be answered promptly. Thanks for looking and good luck!
