2001 Honda Insight: Engine, Parts, Racing Frame No Reserve You are bidding on a 2001 Honda Insight. This vehicle was primarily used for it’s CVT that my own daily driver needed about a year ago. Since then I have also sold off the IMA battery along with the hood. The Insight drove perfectly fine when I picked it up from Cumming, GA (100 miles from where I live). I drove it to where I live in Metro-Atlanta and have kept it for spare parts. As most 1st generation Insight owners know, parts costs tend to be pretty pricey. NOTE: The bidding on this vehicle is strictly for the racing frame. I suspect that the high bidder will be primarily interested in that part due to the vehicle’s light weight. If you want all the remaining parts that will cost $500. The engine (which was maintained at a Honda dealership and has 195k on it) will be $400. The engine and transmission have been removed from the vehicle. So the remaining work to make it a race vehicle would be minimal at this point. Please take notice of the pictures I have posted.
