I'm selling a beautiful R1200GS that is in perfect condition. I'm not exaggerating. It has only 3158 miles and all on the road. I bought it with the intention of traveling to Alaska and then down to Central America. Oh well. I left my job and I'm selling off some of my bikes instead.I bought the bike in Charlotte on August 1, 2008. It has had all service done (at the Charlotte dealership for the first year, at the Greensboro BMW dealer since late 2009).Retail as purchased was $18735.The options on the bike are (Safety Package) ABS II, Tire Pressure Monitor, ASC and (Equipment Package) Chrome Exhaust, Electronic Suspension Adjustment, Heated Grips, On Board Computer, and Hand Guards. I also opted for the Wire Spoke Wheel Upgrade.I added the following aftermarket options, (most of which can be seen in the photos):Crash BarsCylinder head guardsHeadlamp Stone ShieldOil Cooler ShieldCustom Pivoting FootpegsCee Bailey Short Euro Sport Windscreen (Smoke) for Cooler Summer RidingSargent Heated Seat with Thermostat Controller (I used to wonder why anyone bought a heated seat because my warm butt was never an issue. I rode a friend's bike with a heated seat and discovered that heat down there keeps the rest of the body much warmer. It has been great on my Winter Parkway rides).Micatech Side Cases. These cost more than stock but after a lot of research I decided on theme. They are huge and very strong. They open from the side which makes it much easier to get to your stuff than a top loading case. They are extremely waterproof. I never had any leaks. The mounting system is very solid (and took over a day for me to install) and can be seen in the photos. Once the cases are mounted they are rock solid.This is really a great motorcycle. If you take a look in person you will find no flaws.
