This true Impala SS survivor car was stored in a barn in Lander, WY from 1984 until 2008 and has been stored inside in Colorado since 2008. Purchased from the original 94 year old owner as a restoration project, it's now obvious that I will never get to it. The gas tank, sending unit and fuel filter were replaced just to get it running. It starts, runs, goes and stops. I've only driven it in and out of my shop a few times as needed. It has the 220hp 283 cubic inch 4 barrel carb motor. It has an automatic transmission with center console, power steering and power brakes. It has the very desirable original red paint and black vinyl interior. Based on the condition of the interior, it would appear that the mileage showing on the odometer is original and accurate but I have no supporting documentation. All the glass is good with the exception of the cracked drivers door glass. The tires are very old and just sufficient for rolling it around the shop. This is the most rust free, restorable '64 Impala SS I've seen in years. This solid restoration candidate needs minimal metal work. If you're at all familiar with these cars you already know that all the restoration parts are out there and readily available. Nicely restored, these cars bring a nice return on your investment. So, whether you're an investor or just an old gearhead car lover like me, you'd do well to give this car serious consideration.
