1955 Pontiac Chieftan I am listing this car for my mother in law. My father in law passed away 2-1/2 years ago and this car was his project. It has a the 287 V-8 that was rebuilt along with the rebuilt transmission. As far as I know the motor and transmission are the original's, and they have approximately 500 miles or less on them since being rebuilt. He had a local upholstery shop do the complete interior. The car also has new tires and wheels. He told me that he spent $1800.00 on rechroming the bumpers, grill and bright work. Thats all the good stuff I know about the car. Now .... the other stuff... he decided to do the paint and body work himself. To be honest the car looked 10 times better before he painted it. I am not sure what he has dome but the car looks Very Wavey. I remember when he bought it and it was a pretty straight and solid car. My mother in law says she remember's complaining about all the money he was spening on the car. She says he spet over $10,000.00 on the car.
