Up for bid is a very rare and restored 1973 Volkswagen Type IIII Squareback with original fuel-injected 1600cc motor and manual transmission (4-speed, of course). Most everything is stock except rims, steering wheel, and shifter (and tint in windows). The Squareback has a new paint job (less than a year old), new tires and rims, fairly new shocks in front and rear, recent brake job (including front disc brakes), tune-up (including new clutch cable, valve job, and hoses), and interior restoration (headliner, seats, carpet, panels, tinted glass, and seals). Even includes the original top luggage rack. Runs superbly and is in excellent mechanical condition (with 130 PSI compression in all cylinders)... cruises at 70-75 MPH easily and gets 25-33 MPG . Everything works except the clock (may just be a fuse or simple wiring). Great interior and exterior condition .... absolutely no rust through or corrosion anywhere! I am the third owner of this vehicle .... the original owner had the vehicle stored with his car collection and drove it sparingly. More pictures available upon request. Serious bidders only please.
