Vehicle Detail
Well, the wife says, you don't drive it, time to sell. She's right. I have not taken it out for a spin for two years. She took it to the local cruise last summer. So the car was a 318 coluum auto, bench seat 8 1/4 rear end. I have put in a 383, 4 barrel, 727, 8 3/4 rear. I repainted the engine bay, so I have before and after pics. I have done everything to this car except repaint the exterior. It is still the original paint. The hood was added and some scratches on the drivers door was the only paint done, and thats not a perfect match. I bought this car in 2003 and did all the work while I was in California. The car was sold in Los Angeles and lived it's life in the San Fernando Valley. It has been garaged since I did the work, and moved to Oregon in 2005. It has been driven maybe 1500 miles, and no problems. I did not hook up the A/C but the a/c -heater box has been gone thru. I was going to add a later style compressor and lines, but it does not get hot here so never finished that. It does have dings and scratches, as an original car from that time would. 42 years old and counting. I put in factory buckets, restored the tracks console, dash pad (oem) NOS switches and gauges, New engine harness, door panels, had the top frame restored and of course a new top. Has a factory AM/FM radio, All new suspension, front disc, Hemi torsion bars, new rear springs. 3.55 sure grip has been rebuilt as the axles have new mopar bearing kits on them. New drive shaft, steering gearbox, pump, you name it ---it has been done. Even the water valve on the firewall is NOS. Has 15 x 7 wheels on front and 15 x 8 on rear, spare is a 15 x 7. I bought the wheels new for this car. I put in a new windshield with gasket, and door weatherstrips also. I never installed the seat belts, or headrests. I have the headrests. The rear of the console has an Imperial grille that has a light, so a lot of light when it's dark. I have enjoyed doing the work, guess someone can enjoy driving it. I am sure the car could be driven across the country, if wanted. Take a look. 1. New Fuel Tank w/ new sending unit 2. All new shocks 3. New H pipe exhaust 4. Correct HP manifolds 5. Correct NOS Carter carb 6. NOS choke pull-off 7. Correct 69 955 radiator new core 8. Correct shroud 9. All rubber lines replaced 10. All new mounts 11. Grille and headlite bezels orig. and nice 12. All orig. lenses There is no repaired rust spots on this car, can send pics of areas as requested. Was going to make a Road Runner type by removing the trim and repainting in R5. Thanks for looking and questions. Tim
