Before bidding, please have your finances in order. We will require a $500 deposit made by Paypal within 24 hours of auction end. Otherwise, the truck will be offered to the next highest bidder. The remaining balance is due by Paypal or cash within 7 days from auction end. Shipping, if needed, is at buyer's expense. Up for auction is a 1984 Chevy 1/2 ton short bed 4x4. This truck has the original 350 CI engine with 147k original miles and was bought in California so the body and frame are 99% rust free. The engine does not smoke and has clean emissions. All guages work. The body has a few minor dings and scratches from typical use. There are dents in the bed, but nothing major. The paint is relatively new. We had it repainted because the original clearcoat was peeling on the hood. The interior is original and is in good condition. There is a tear on the driver's side of the bench seat. There is a dashboard cover with one crack on the dash underneath. The truck runs, drives and looks great. Note that in addition to the tires and wheels pictured, the previous tires, factory 15"x6" steel wheels, and factory Chevy hubcaps will be sold with the truck. We bought this truck in August 2002 in California with 80,000 miles on it. As far as we know, it has always been in California so it's virtually rust free. There's just a little rust where the paint has been dinged and in the bed where the paint has been marred, but no other rust. The truck was smogged this month and passed, no problem, just as it always has. Smog certificate is good for 90 days. Other features: The transmission is a 700 R4. The truck has 3.08 gears with limited slip differential. The truck's stock carburetor was just rebuilt. The truck has front wheel disk brakes, power steering, and auto locking hubs. Over the years we have upgraded the truck to enhance the performance or look. The following are upgrades: The tires pictured are Firestone Destination A/T 31" 10.50 15, new spare tire, wheels are American 12 Hole, new alternator, new distributor, new Edelbrock aluminum 4 brl intake manifold (CA emission legal), RS5000 shocks, K&N air cleaner, Flowmaster Delta series dual outlet with chrome exhaust tips, under drive pulley, JVC CD/AM/FM 180 watt stereo w/ Infinity 6x9" speakers, dash cover, tow package, and a sliding wear window. This has been a very reliable, strong running truck. It's in great condition and it looks smokin' hot! We love it but need a commuter vehicle for long daily drives to work.
