Vehicle Detail
1986 VW Westfalia "Weekender" Does not have appliances. This is the model with the bigger bench seat, rear facing jump seat, and fold up table. Reserve is $3100.00. Photos at: https://picasaweb.google.com/leedsjoanna/86VanEbay?authkey=Gv1sRgCPKGhLjc9ML_Rg --Original title from Original owner --40k on rebuilt 2.1L engine with documentation --40k on rebuilt clutch with documentation -- New ECU last week ($800.00) -- New sending unit --New thermostat housing --New front temp. sensor. --New upholstery on rear bench, rear cushion, jump seat, upstairs bed Needs: --blower motor does not work. needs new blower motor --sunroof is loose but does not leak. Could use new sunroof and sunroof seal. --stereo is unreliable but the speakers are nice. -- the obvious body work. -- will need new tires once you get it home and drive it for a few months. I bought this van intending to do the body work because it runs so well. It runs extremely well. It starts every time even in the cold. It does not burn or leak oil. It will cruise in the flats at 70mph no problem and in the hills it will do better than any other van I've ever owned. On the steepest part of I70 (at Silverplume) it will be 3rd gear and 45mph. The van spend all of its life (until now) in Provo Utah. It is now in Denver, CO. The exterior is a bit rough, as you can see. The rust has been characterized by my local body shop as "surface rust." The dents on the rear left panel are the major challenge for the body work if you choose to do it. The rear hatch was either undamaged or has been replaced because it operates fine. The pistons even hold it in the upright position. The interior is in decent shape. The carpet is a little dirty and the canvass shows its age, but both function fine and don't have any major rips or tears. The front seats are clean and all other upholstery and cushions are new. I also have a big awning for it that I'll include if the sale price is over $4000.00. The awning is missing one of its pieces of attachment hardware but they are available at busdepot or Fiamma. I would drive it anywhere in the country tomorrow. Buyer pays all shipping costs. $500 deposit due within 24 hours via Paypal Final sale must be completed within 10 days of end of auction. Please ask me if you need other terms for payment or shipping. Please feel free to ask me any questions, more photos, specific details, or to set up a time to come by and drive it. This van is also listed locally and I will take down the ebay add if it sells locally sooner. $6800 invested into it so far. Cash only. If you are coming from out of town, plan on going to the bank first. I can go with you if you are worried about carrying cash. No cashiers checks. josh 303-885-9188
