Up for auction is our 1976 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. We have owned it for 2 years, and had the best of intentions to restore it and add it to the collection. Life changes, and so do plans. The car has a 350 cubic inch V8 with automatic transmission. It is an AC car, and all of the components are there, however it does not blow cold. The heater and defroster work as they should. It has new brakes (stainless steel sleeved calipers, pads, and rotors,) and U-joints. It has the 80-82 style rear bumper with bubble tail lights, as well as the 80-82 style seats, which are much more comfortable than stock. It has a new Kenwood AM/FM/CD player. It also comes with a front end nose mask (bra.) The odometer reads 14K, but I am sure that it is actually 114K. All of the gauges work except for the tachometer. The coolest part of the car is the side pipes. It looks awesome and sounds even better. Nothing like the rumble of an old school V8 through side pipes! The car runs and drives very good. We have driven it on several trips to car shows, and it really runs and drives great. The power steering works well, and the headlights rise and fall as they should. It tracks straight and is an awesome driver. The paint is the textbook definition of a 10 footer. Up close, it has some paint chips as well as clear coat peeling on the rear. No one seems to notice. We are always amazed at the attention this car attracts, and that folks take pictures of and with this car when there are pristine cars parked near it. It has a nice shine, and shows pretty well despite its flaws. The windshield is cracked and will need to be replaced. Tires are good, and rally wheels are nice. We purchased a new black carpet set and never installed it. The carpet set will come with the car. I am happy to send additional photos and answer any questions.
