Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. It is equipped with all of the Z06 goodies, such as LS6 engine, 6 speed manual transmission, titanium exhaust, fixed roof design, etc. It has AC, power windows and locks, traction control, Bose AM/FM/CD, and everything else you'd expect. I bought the car in 2006 and have only driven it about 8K miles. It has been to the Corvette Reunion in Bowling Green KY, portions of two Hot Rod Power Tours, and several local car events. Otherwise, it has remained in the garage with a cover over it. The engine is all stock and it has not been raced or abused in any way. It has a brand new SPEC Stage 1 complete clutch kit (disc, throw-out bearing, pressure plate, flywheel, and slave cylinder) as well as a brand new MGW short throw shifter. The stock shifter also comes with the car. It has a new AC compressor, harmonic balance, and belts. It has an Optima red top battery. All of the electrical components work as they should, and there are no warning lights or codes. Here's the bad news - the 5th gear synchronyzer has gone bad. This means that when you are driving the car, it will grind when shifting to 5th gear. The car runs and drives just fine, except for the 5th gear issue. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere, with the understanding that it will grind going into 5th. 5th gear works, it just grinds as you shift into it. With the exception of a couple of rock chips on the nose, the body and paint are in very good condition. The windshield has a rock chip in it (It was repaired, but you can still see it.) The passenger seat has an imprint in it, as if someone left a can sitting on it for a long time and left the imprint of the bottom of the can. It was there when I bought it. Otherwise the interior is very nice. It has new Lloyds floor mats. The windows are tinted to legal specs. The tires are the correct Goodyear F1's and are very good. The car is just a blast to drive. I have clear title in hand. I have loved and babied this car, however it is time to turn the page and thin out the garage. I am happy to send additional photos or answer any questions you may have. I set my price by looking at fair market value, and discounting it the cost of the synchronyzer repair. Someone is going to get a great deal on a very good car! I will require a $2000 down payment within 24 hours of the auction close, with full payment due within 5 days. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder, however I will assist in the shipping process any way I can.
