Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE AUCTION! Please only serious bidders with cash in hand Popular sporty style Firebird Formula with v8 auto transmission and decent mpg for a v8 (up to 30mpg highway). Has the high performance handling package WS6. Fuel injected 5 liter engine that has been very reliable. This is an old car that has some squeaks creaks and leaks. But a decent sports car for the price. Two owner California car means it doesn't have heavy rust problems. Starts and runs good with cold air conditioning. Some parts have been replaced to maintain it. I put in new rear hatch struts this week. Other things that have been replaced in the past include EGR valve, headlight motors, and alternator. Pro's - Reasonable gas milage for a v8 sports car - Great handling - Reliable starting and running - AC is nice on hot days! See the pics for temperature on dash on hot day of 166degrees F. Cold air from AC vent of only 63.5degrees F too cool you down. - Nice color (but needs repainting) - Smog just done yesterday, passed with no problem again, clear title in hand, current CA registration until 2012 so no paperwork headaches or expenses for new owner - All stock unmodified engine for reliability and no smog check hassles Con's - Paint is coming off, it was a factory defect in that year. Some surface rust spots are starting where the paint is coming off - T-Tops still drip a little through a car wash, tried to seal them with silicon but not completely tight - Squeaks a bit over some bumps due to body flex of older car with t-tops - Rear engine seal leaking a bit causing oil drips on driveway - Valve guide seals old in engine causing a bit of smoke on cold startup, clears up after a few seconds - Light tapping noise from engine on acceleration, my guess is slight exhaust manifold leak but unsure (doesn't affect driveability) - Interior has wear and tear from the mileage and age - Radio is working as always-on AM FM on maybe one or two speakers. - Headlights need handcrank knob help if you don't use them for a few months. then they work fine again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeyI3BoBlY0&feature=youtube_gdata Shows this car starting and driving. I have been critical in the description to give you a good idea of what to expect. I think it is a decent car for a person looking for a performance oriented v8 for under $2000.
