Hello there..If you're reading this, then you must be a fan of this car as I am. I have owned a few of these, and have loved them all. There's something special about this particular body style. It has been my daily driver for most of the last 3 years. I am the third owner, and bought the car with about 125,000 miles. This car originates from Upstate NY, and has been garaged for all of the first 125,00 miles, and during that time was only driven in nice weather during summer months. I have had it parked outside for most of the time that I have owned it, and city driving/parking took its toll on the body - see three detailed pictures. It's super minor stuff : rust around exterior rear left wheelwell - not rotted through at all; two rust spots around rear left wheel well - very little; front left nose - someone did this while I was parked - great feeling to come back to. So..the car is off the road now. It blew the double metal pipe which runs under the exhaust manifold, which carries coolant from the waterpump to the rear of the engine. I had to replace this once before on a different Supra - It took a total of 2 hours for me to complete. Since the exhaust manifold has been off recently (new head gasket) it should go pretty easy. Car will start, and drive, but not for long, since it's a pretty significant coolant leak as-is. Car would have to be towed if further than VERY local. A list of positives and negatives: Original manual, dealer info, and a bunch of service receipts Recent head gasket (less than 10,000 miles) FULL tune-up with head gasket. Wheel bearings are good Rear end perfect. Steering is tight Full power driver seat Climate control Power door locks and windows work perfect Alarm Newer Heavy duty radiator Original radio works (all electronics work in entire car actually) Brakes still have plenty of life - I'm real easy on them. Replaced everything when I did brakes at 135,000. Rotors, pads, and e-brake shoes. hardware too. Pop up headlights work New clutch slave cylinder Clutch feels great, pulls hard. Ashtray never USED The tires are ok - they should be replaced when an alignment is done - which it needs. Needs Ball Joint AC needs charge, maybe repair. I never use it any car, so I didn't care. Interior is great for its age. There are a couple of holes in the driver seat (pictured). The carpet isn't perfect, there are some stains. Car needs alignment - likely due to ball joint mentioned above. Someone thought it would be helpful to relieve me of my antenna by breaking it off, so you'll have that going for you. Gas door lever broke off. I was gonna weld it on, but never got around to it. I disabled the lock at the fuel door. It stays shut, but you can easily tug it open. Truthfully, If had the room to keep this car, I'd never sell it. I've restored many cars in the past 17 years, and this would be the easiest one yet. The car is super soild, and really in great overall shape. The body is very straight, and has no rot through ANYWHERE. The needs are really all bolt ons. NO frame damage, NO major accidents ( one in the mid 90's in which the front bumper, and left headlight were replaced), NO missing parts. This car would yeild it's new owner a real beauty with some time into it, or fix it and drive as is. Feel free to ask me ANY questions regarding this car, or anything else... I guess.
