1966 Other Makes

The vast majority of Rickman Mk III chassis kits were made for the Triumph 650 twins, but very few were built for BSA's A65 unit construction twin. Only about twenty were made, and our research over the past several years has located just four of them. This is an ORIGINAL Rickman-built frame from the mid-'60s, not a reproduction. It was stored for many years until I assembled it during 2009-2010. All of the following were brand new--not tired forty-year-old old components; Complete Avon fiberglass kit from England--fenders, tank, side panels & air box. New old-stock polished REH conical hubs with correct Dunlop rims, Renold chain & sprockets, correct period-size tires, solid-state ignition module & coils, Barnett clutch, all controls...and much, much more. The engine was freshened up and runs teriffic. Has period Ceriani forks, correct Amal concentric carburetor and was built to be museum-quality, but also fully AHRMA legal. I have raced it in several AHRMA Nationals, usually winning its class, and it also won the Most Outstanding Bike at this year's Diamond Don's Riverport National in Texas--against about 250 others.
