Up for sale is a 1974 Volkswagen super beetle. I bought the car at an auction with the intention of restoring it but time and money is preventing me from doing this. The car does run and drive. The engine is the 1641 cc and it has a manual transmission that shifts though all gears with no problems. I do not have a title for the vehicle but I can provide a bill of sale. There are companies that can help one title a vehicle if you are looking for a restoration project. The car has many usable parts if you are looking for a parts car. The body of the car is rusty with the floor of the car being the worst. The floor of the car has rusted though in places and would have to be replaced with manufactured ones from J.C. Whitney or similar aftermarket companies. The body has various rust-spots that would also require new parts if restoration is the intention (kickpanels, heating ducts and rear panels). The trim, window rubber and front window is not in very good shape either. The interior is missing the carpeting and headliner but is otherwise complete. However, the interior side panels are not in good shape. The seats and the dashboard are in serviceable condition. The dash has no cracks but it is sun faded a little. The starting bid on the vehicle is 500 dollars and I am selling it as is. If you are looking for an engine and frame for a dune buggy project, this is a great opportunity to pick them up cheap.
